Critical Care Transport Unit Discussion

  • Wanted to break this discussion out of the State Your Game Issues/Complaints thread.

Just some thoughts regarding the new "required" critical care unit and critical care training. I have 1400 ambulance stations spread throughout my setup. (Most of Florida, and parts of GA, ALA, ) The cost to add these units along with the training is going to be HUGE (14,000,000 credits or 42,000 coins). That does not include the cost of the training for each of those units. That means I (along with others who have huge set ups) will have who knows how many missions they can not complete. When new features like this have been added there should be an option to toggle them off. Additionally, who has the time to sit and add one of those units to each one of the EMS Stations, even if they do have the funding. This is similar to the traffic control issue that was never fixed. I don't have those traffic control extensions activated, yet I receive dozens of missions daily that I can't complete (unless i do it with coins).

    Thanks for listening

I have spoken with the development team regarding concerns raised about the new CCTU.

The new CCTU calls should only spawn within a 25km (about 15 miles) around with reach of the CCTU. If this is not happening, please post here with some screenshots so I can escalate it to the development team further.

There are another concern brought up about HEMS being able to complete the inter-facility transfer missions. The devs are looking to include that vehicle very soon. It is expected within the next week or two.

    Approved the thread.
  • Thats awesome, but I am still not having the CCTU missions spawn at all, I might be wrong on this but if you have hospitals with all the extensions you wont get these missions, that is how I build my hospitals. Is there a way that they can just spawn the missions regardless of the extensions?

  • So Chief.....if i am reading this correct, the CCTU calls will only "spawn" if you purchase and staff the CCTU?

  • In my opinion I don’t actually understand why the CCTU has been implemented like this.

The only critical care transfer ambulances in the UK are paediatrics. Adult critical care transfers are carried out by emergency ambulances.

So now we have a new, more expensive unit to complete a call which realistically isn’t too common, and it cannot attend any other jobs.

I like the update but I think that normal ambulances should be able to carry out the transfer and I also feel the PTS vehicle has been implemented wrong.

PTS should be able to convey patients if another unit is on scene e.g. an RRV.

Patient transfer should be inter facility only, the HCP admission call should be used for the community > hospital calls.

I will ask about the hospitals.

Yes, so in case of your large setup, it will only spawn within a 25km radius

I cannot speak for the UK version as I am not versed within it (I am not a CA for UK, only US and AU). I would recommend putting a post in the UK forum for assistance with that.

  • Ah sorry didn’t even realise I was on the US thread. Thanks.

also double check at the top of the mission list the 5 or so red/ green buttons - the one called patient transports needs to be green to see them in the list - i had mine red for a long time ( as i never saw any) but thats where i found mine - hope it helps
