Thats the devs for ya, take something simple and over complicate it

I would suspect that the changes were added due to complaints about missions spawning where they do not belong such as a high rise fire in the middle of a forest land. Just don't think it turned out quite like we wanted it
That would be a (slight) understatement, ChiefBoden61... At the risk of upsetting the devs, I have yet to see any of these changes that have actually benefitted the players of the game. All of them end up costing players in some form (points of coins), especially if they spawn missions that require the changes to be implemented (traffic control, etc.). Not to mention how complicated it makes game play for new players that have no clue about Emergency Services and how they really operate.

Agree......I continue to get traffic control missions that i can only complete with coins or if someone in the alliance has the traffic control folks. I don't have the extensions.

You can still put traffic control people in your patrol cars or firetrucks, they made a lot of the missions need 8 traffic control and the blocker unit only carries 6. And my units that show up not in a blocker still count as traffic control. You still should not be getting the missions though, I checked every mission I had that needed traffic control and they all said they need the extension to spawn.

yes......you certainly can put trained people in patrol cars, but based on the size of my set up and the number of patrol cars and supervisors spread across 3/4 of the state of Florida and parts of GA and AL, the cost would be astronomical.

Bad Example but Reenforces the Point , its like needing Sharpshooters you can send them in a patrol car , they don't have to be in a swat vehicle (just logically makes sense) or needing Search n Rescue staff or Tech Rescue they can be in a Crew Carrier (Handy when you need say 18 and a crew carrier takes 12) just the tools have to go on another vehicle with correctly trained staff

It was more that he says that he finishes missions with coins but all I was saying you don’t need the blocker for traffic control so they don’t need to be finished with coins. And they don’t cost anything to train its just time to train them.
And the traffic missions did not need the extension before so maybe the unnamed mission that he gets that needs traffic control got missed in an update, I have been checking every mission I get that needs TC since I saw the post and they all say that they need the extension.
Another thing would be are the missions green on his possible mission list maybe if you cover an entire state you have 1 tc extension somewhere and forgot about it. I find things all the time I built and forgot about and have nowhere near that many buildings.
Another option could be the new urban extension is generating it if the mission is an urban mission, and if it is it would be easy enough to test by turning off the extension and seeing if the mission is still green in the mission list.
The missions normally require double the amount of specialist trained somewhere in your buildings to get a mission Like MVA rollover the 3900 variant needs 8 traffic control trained and then the mission needs 4. and it is also an urban mission.
So not sure how its a bad example when he was talking about traffic control, and I have no idea what point it reinforces. Sometimes it just something that gets missed on the how the game works but its hard to tell because nothing it really stated clearly on how it works.
I was just trying to help figure out why he gets traffic missions, I will just stop responding to random posts anymore.
I should of added that at work I work in specifics, and I design specific items that do a specific process, and that process can be just 1 step in a larger process, So every last thing is specific. And when there is issues we look at what step in the process the issue comes up not the end result. So when I see a post that I get mission X and I shouldn’t I think oh check step 1,2,3 and see what it shows.
But I always forget that outside of work most people don’t deal in specifics. And basically when you guys post that you get mission X its more of an inside joke that you guys just joke about its not actually an issue or anything that you want to try and resolve. So now that I understand that I know to not respond to stuff anymore.
Hopefully that makes sense.

- It does cost to train them
- I dont have an entire state, just "most" of it and each time I get a mission I check the generating station to make sure no TC
- happened before the urban extensions

I honestly thought you guys were joking about this stuff.
“It does cost to train them”
That’s odd I don’t see where it cost me to train, I Have looked through my day summaries and there is no cost listed for training. It has education 0 (16X0) and another day has same 0 (7X0). I just started some traffic control training I will see if it lists an expense for it.
“each time I get a mission I check the generating station to make sure no TC”
Can you list the actual mission you get that needs TC, and the next time you get one of the missions check the statistics for the dispatch center the station is assigned to and see if the dispatch center has a traffic control extension.
How do you find the actual station that generates the mission? I just click on the mission and check the closest station but is there a way to see that one that actually generated it. That would help me with trying to figure out my mission generation mess.

Checking the extensions I have done. I also have the same problem with Flooding. I don't have the flooding extensions. In fact, I had one by accident and despite "deactivating the extension" I was getting missions generated all over and I actually deleted the entire station and rebuilt it without.
And regarding the cost, I have to apologize as I stated that incorrectly. Should have said it costs if you don't want to wait how ever many days the training lasts. My error.

You are making it overly difficult to help you, if you do not post the name of the actual missions you get, And the payout for the mission to know what variant you have. it is not possible to know what you are talking about. There must be 20 or more types of flooding missions some do not require a flood extension. Look at possible missions it lists every mission and what it needs. I get flooding missions but I don’t have the flood extension so I get the other version of those missions.
And since you still have not listed a name of what traffic mission you get its not possible to look at what the mission needs. You have got to have an extension somewhere that you left on or something and you have trained traffic control people, all the missions that need traffic control need both of those. I tested yesterday setting one of my dispatch centers that gets traffic missions all the time but does not have the police extension to create own dispatch area and then all the traffic missions were not green for that dispatch center.
You only need 1 extension activated in all of your stations to get the missions if you do not use the create own coverage area. So if your dispatch centers use the default settings and they do not create their own generation area you only need 1 extension in any of your dispatch centers and you will get missions that need that extension in all your dispatch centers. You need to click on any dispatch center then click the previous button until you end up at your first dispatch center. Then just check every single dispatch centers statistics page and look for a traffic police extension. I only have 1 and get missions in all my dispatch centers that do not create own coverage across two different states from just 1 station having the extension.
Just go to possible missions select a specific dispatch center from the drop down look at what missions are green, go back to the map select that specific dispatch center tell it to use own coverage area and then go back to missions now any missions that are no longer green were using resources from a different dispatch center. (Then go back and set it back to how it was to not use own coverage.)
And as far as training, I have 120 slots for police training and 160 slots for fire training and I would guess you have a lot more stations than me so you probably have a lot more slots for training. Traffic control is only 3 day. The large fire blocker carries 6, you will want both so 12 people per station. With 160 slots that is 13 cities every 3 days for traffic control coverage and that’s with the small amount of training capacity I have. ( I only use the fire blocker since I have more fire stations and I made an ARR for traffic unit and it uses the fire blocker)
Every city does not need the traffic control I just spread them out to cover the mission areas. And if for some reason you don’t have that many training slots, I can join your alliance let you use all my training slots for free and in just a week you could train traffic control in 26 cities.
