Questions on missions, 70% are under 1200 credits

  • I was wondering if I am better having mission expansion on or off for mission generation? I have found some of the police missions “expand” in to a lower paying mission, and a couple of the fire missions also “expand” to smaller missions but a lot of wildfire missions will expand into larger missions. Currently it seems like I messed something up and 70%-75% of my missions are 1200 credits or less some of those are just 1 or 2 vehicles.

Under possible missions all the higher payout ones are green, all the CBRN, CBRNE, every forestry mission, every foam mission, every airport mission (but the 3 that need technical) are all green.

For example I just clicked on my mission list and 173 out of 284 are 1200 or less (60%) with expansion off and I have 13 out of 284 that are 3500 or more. And when I have mission expansion on I will get 70%-75% of my missions will be under 1200 credits before the few that expand.

So I didn’t know if I have mission expansion on if it generates smaller missions that expand later? Or if I just have something wrong somewhere. I was wondering what kinds of ratio of small missions anyone else gets?

  • Not sure the size of your set up, but I believe the larger your set up the more variety in missions you get. The larger your set up and the more POIs you add, the greater selection of missions you get. While I do get a lot of lower paying missions, my % of higher paying missions is much more than yours. I do see what you say about he wildland missions all having a huge payout.. And I do also agree that some other missions do seem to have a payout that is out of skew based on the time and resources. I am sure it is a work in progress..

  • Wildfire missions are nice. That is why I have problems with using expanding missions or not, I know the wildfire missions will expand larger but some the other missions I get that pay good expand smaller.

Like large violent protest starts at 12,500 but it expands over 50% of the time to active shooter that pays 2800.

armed foot pursuit 3500 – shots fired at officer 4200 – active shooter again 2800

large natural gas explosion (10,000) can expand to full (11000) or partial building collapse (7300+)

A lot of the old missions are way off on payouts, it seems most of the new ones are a lot better on payout.

I basically have 4 dispatch centers that are all around this

    Fire stations

    18

    Water rescue

I don’t expect all the missions to pay a lot but I just skip all the low pay now and it over 100 per day that I just let expire. It just seems like something is off but maybe not.

Like today my missions filled up again, 13 missions are over 3500. and 239 missions are 1500 or less. Out of 284 total missions

  • Lower-paying events mean, you need to buy coins using real money to get ahead. The game is produced by a company who actually that wants to make money

I have had a premium account for 2 years since I joined and I have bought coins beyond that, I like the game so I did support them with money. Like I said I get 284 missions per day if I generate a full list and only 13 of them are over 3500. 70% of my missions end up under 1500 credits (150 to 170 missions a day). How many missions in total do you get and how many of them are over 3500? maybe its normal for only 5% of the missions to be over 3500. I have no idea but it seems off to me.

I should add one thing I have been doing now is expanding every station I have to have at a minimum, 1 rescue engine, 1 quint, 1 battalion chief, 1 pumper tanker. And then mobile air or MCV, or hazmat in every station.

So you will get 61 missions in total. If you want specific missions i highly recommend specializations. Then assign this station to another dispatch location and put the others into a non active station to generate them specific calls

That is just one of my dispatch centers (I have 4 main areas), here is the full list for just that one dispatch center. I have all the extensions and some are specialized. I get 284 missions in total.

  • couple of points id like to make - some calls yes "expand lower" based on IRL calls - dispatch gets initial call from a person - who might be in shock, trying to get information to send units - so dispatch sends more - " better to send too much and recall than having to send more later - theory" and once first due gets on scene - they downgrade. 2nd point -- yes we all would love to have higher paying calls - but again IRL they dont happen frequently - going to have for example may more trash bin calls than hi-rise fires. there is at least one player who was in my alliance for a bit - that had ( rough guess) 90% of his stations specialized in Foam - so he generated tons of high credit calls - maybe thats the path you need to take -even if its very unrealistic

  • couple of points id like to make - some calls yes "expand lower" based on IRL calls - dispatch gets initial call from a person - who might be in shock, try

I did say I didn’t expect all the missions to pay a lot, I mainly was just wondering if my percentage was correct. And so far no one has posted what they get for mission ratios. Maybe its because I only play the game using LSS manager but I just click on the mission and it lists that mission number and I know the total missions I get. So I just sort by highest paying go down to the last 3500 mission and look at the number.. So if my percentage was off I would look to fix stuff if its normal I know not to fix stuff. I have been adjusting things and have tripled that amount I get over 3500 now I get 40 – 46 every day even with expansion on and no buildings turned off.

As far as the calls expanding lower they already said that “bug” is a feature. I will explain my thinking on it but I know it does not matter because they already responded in the bug section that's how it is. And when ever I say something seems off its only from the perspective of as a game I have no idea how it would be to relate to real life mission with same name.

Armed Foot Pursuit- starts out it needs helicopter, 5 police car, 3 swat cars 18swat, $3500

    it expands to

Shots fired at Officer that changes it to 8 police cars, and only 6 swat but pays $4100

for swat you can have 5 in a helicopter they count as swat but the missions need 6 , is there a helicopter that could carry 6? then have 2 helicopters one carry 6 and a small one. Then you go from needing 18 swat that need training and change out 12 of them for 6 regular police and then it pays more. To me that makes no sense but I don’t care it pays more so its good.

Then that expands to Active Shooter- now you need 4 police cars and 24 swat it pays 2800. so again you replaced regular police with swat, swat needs training and the mission pays less so there is two missions in a row where the game pays less for trained personal than regular, but they can just say well in real life that's how it is, but as a game it makes no sense to me.

Another was Large Violent Protest, that pays 12,000. it is a riot police specialization mission, but it can expand to the Active Shooter mission that pays 2800. Now active shooter is not a riot mission its a standard police mission. So again you spend all the money on training it needs 32 riot police on mission, 64 trained to spawn and the station needs to be specialized then it changes to non riot mission.

So again as a game only you pay me less to train people, and also as a game question only where do all the rioters go? There is a large protest you sent 32 riot police and then someone starts shooting and now all the rioters go home and the riot police go home and then the active shooter police show up. Why wouldn't the active shooter be an additional mission. You would still have the protest now turned to chaos and you would have a shooter that is what makes no sense to me

The other thing if its unknown, shouldn’t it start as unknown disturbance call, kind of like the fire alarm missions or smoke sighting or unknown structure fire missions.( I get 100’s of the small missions so I see the names all the time) And if the the riot police show up and then everyone leaves you could get half pay or something call it peaceful resolution / false alarm not expand to a mission that is not even riot mission.

The other mission was Large Natural Gas explosion, this is a stand alone mission regular natural explosion does not expand to a Large Natural Gas explosion. So again from a game perspective only I view natural gas explosion as part of a structure exploded, its only part so the injuries are in the structure, and the structure is still there so it can expand to partial or full collapse. That makes sense.

Large Natural Gas explosion, is not an expansion of the normal. To me this is the whole structure exploded and injures people in adjacent buildings, the mission building is gone it exploded so it can not collapse. If you are going to say its a larger building like a warehouse or a hotel or high rise, then it would need a POI it does not need a POI so its the same building from the normal mission. And if it is an adjacent building that collapses then that would be additional mission.

There are all kinds of other missions too that make no sense to me even the small ones but I know it does not matter. Just for example police missions go from obstruction of traffic that pays 40 per officer to Dog escapes from the shelter that pays 425 per officer, and fire mission start with Transporter fell on side that pays 0 and it needs battalion chief and ladder truck / quint (9 people at full staff) . all of that makes no sense to me but maybe it does for real life.

There If you actually read all that then you can maybe see where my ideas came from on the missions. And it is not all about the price of the missions, its more that there is no clear indication anywhere what is correct or not, I stopped building buildings because each building I build just gives me another small mission so there is no point in building anything. Most solutions people have involve gaming out the systems in the game to get better missions. Basically I think I hit the gaming limit of the game.
