POIs imported directly from OSM

It's that time of the year again where someone brings this up: I recently began playing City Bus Manager (bear with me, this is on topic I swear) and noticed that it has the same OSM type data that MC uses. Although, it has thousands of POIs as well. Imported from OSM. Could someone remind me why the devs haven't been able to use the same POIs available to anyone who uses OSM data? Surely this isn't unreasonable to suggest being added in?
