Smoke Detector checks

  • Is there anyway to make the smoke detector checks like a normal call? Instead of waiting hours before it starts so you dispatch a unit to go to it so it isn't tied up on a smoke detector. I feel that is more realistic.

Or second option is to come up with a unit that runs smoke detectors. Where I work, there are so many smoke detector calls that we have a few pickup trucks that work M-F 8-5 to just run smoke detector calls.

You Could label a couple of say type 2's as Smoke Dectector ute or what ever you like , make them a custom dispatch tag so they only get used for that or what you want to use them for and rp it , you can even set the shift hours for the unit too

  • I just realised, it could also be that they're organised checks for function in like a whole apartment block or something, so it'd make sense they're planned

In my area in the US the fire department usually just shows up some time during the quarter to do a check, usually when they can fit it in between calls. Ive had them show up at 12AM when they were returning from a call off from a call or at 2PM when they were bored at the station and the station officer kicked a crew out to do some thing.
