• I mentioned this before but people took over my thread with a lot of negativity towards tow truck updates. I agree with you heavily it would be nice for those of us who want to use them and do realistic because I know a lot of companies use them more than their actual tow trucks

if you want to use them fine...but those of us who choose not to use them should not received missions requiring tow trucks or traffic police to finish them. I have no traffic control extensions and yet continue to receive missions that I can't finish without them. The cost in points or credits for me to cover my setup that includes about 70% of Florida and parts of Georgia and Alabama would be prohibitive. It was my understanding that if you don't have the extensions, you would not get those type missions, yet I continue to receive them.

  • Unless you live in that state where they can run lights & sirens on tow vehicles... Can you imagine running 'hot' to change a flat?

IMO......Allowing tow trucks to run red lights and siren???....that is simply unnecessary, ridiculous and dangerous...

  • What is the point of saying you don’t like tow trucks in a thread where people who like using tow trucks wanted to talk about more missions to use tow trucks. And the tow trucks are already in the game so why not have more use for them? And the first two ideas about gas and flat tires are already in the game but maybe they are talking about some expanded version of that.

The last alliance I was in there was people in there that wanted stuff just like the last update. If you don’t like the stuff don’t use it. You don’t need to, same as all the options there is for all the different ways to do the same thing, just use what you want.

To me the rotator truck is useless all it does is add a few low – medium payout missions. So I will not buy one, if they expanded the truck explosion missions to a higher paying version then I might buy one. And the parking spaces are optional to get extra pay, the only tow missions I do anymore is multiple vehicles on fire and it finishes without the parking lot still.

Open forum in which all can express their opinions. So that is my opinion. I believe I have said I will not use the extension but I also have said, I hope they hold true to the fact that if you don't use the extension, you WON'T receive missions you can't complete without them, similar to what was stated about "traffic control" extensions. I chose not to use them as well due to the cost to implement, yet I still get missions I can't finish because they "require" traffic control.

Even though you don’t like towing you cant think of one mission that could be expanded to use them? You would know the real use of them, I don’t care at all about real world use of anything in the game just if it makes me enough credits to be worth using.

I also told you before what to try with your traffic missions, you just laughed and said it was to much work but you still say you get them so you could of slowly worked on it and found what station is giving you the missions. Or just build out some traffic units, you don’t need that many you just need to decide how far away you want them.

Don't want to have missions last forever and I was able to check each and every building by adding dispatch centers, splitting the setup and checking every extension and I discovered that I have "0" traffic control extensions... Thanks for your help on that. Some of us have been on for several years (as opposed to 5 months for you) and have large set ups. And a lot of us play as close to real as possible in terms of what we use.

  • For anyone who is not aware, this thread is about "Towing".

    It is not about:

    • Past grievances with other players / forum users
    • Traffic control extensions / missions
    • Who has been online / playing the longest
    • What you think is "acceptable" in the real world
    • Issues in-game that have nothing to do with the forum

To be clear, it has been raised with forum moderators that members of this community are turning idea suggestions into a debate over who knows more about emergency responses in the real world, and repetitively complaining about features they are not using. Frankly, most moderators have already noted this, but are hesitant to act as we want people to openly express RELEVANT opinions, including constructive criticism, without the fear of being told off.

I want, and have always wanted, to see the forums as a place of community. Based on the nit-picking, back-and-forth, complaining, and borderline disrespectful replies to this thread, I can honestly say if I were a new player coming to the forum, this would put me off from ever expression my thoughts, or interacting on the forum at all. It is extremely disappointing that on the majority of threads, this is happening, often from a select few users.

This post is a polite but firm request to consider whether what you want to say, is respectful, polite, reasonable & relevant before you reply. If you have a point about another issue you wish to raise, use an appropriate & currently active thread - or make your own.
