Best way to Research Fire Departments???

Ok so I know that most of mission chief, (probably over 95%) does NOT play realistically, as in they dont research fire departments, build on real life locations, use real callsigns, and overall emulate IRL agencies. Im reaching out to the Mission Chief community who DOES play realistically. How do I research? I know about the website fire wiki but even they aren’t correct 100% of the time. So what do I do?

What I Usually Do Is Go To The Departments Website For The One You Are Basing Off Of And You Can Usually Find An Apparatus Tab And It Will Show The Vehicles Along With The Call Signs (Ex. Below)

I use Wikipedia for a couple departments or their websites. I have access to LACo vehicle list as I'm a former FF there and have friends at LASD. but I do not list certain vehicles of LASD in my line up due to security reasons since we all don't know who really plays this game for the right reasons. I'd guess 99% do play to play but you do have that 1% who are questionable.

I use fire fandom wiki, wikipedia and fire department websites/facebooks

so far, i've done a good job. only thing that currently isnt realistic with mine is that half my stations dont have medics.
