The coastal helicopter indicates it can be used as a HEMS to transport patients. However when it delivers the patient, the payment received matches that of a ground unit. (Ex. A Cardiology pt going to a hospital with the specialty gets paid 750 by Coastal heli, instead of 1125 by a HEMS heli.)
It does not fulfil a critical care role, so you will not receive a critical care (HEMS) payment for the patient/s. It does however transport more than one at a time, which is beneficial for certain missions it is required for. This is intentional, not a bug. The 'bug' lies in the misleading description.
Yes, I forget the exact amounts but believe the large coastguard helo should carry over 10, possibly up to 16? Don't quote me on exact numbers though. I certainly find mine will transport multiple patients from missions as it will not allow you to select a minor injuries unit if it has 5 beds and the helo is carrying 6 or more patients.

Bumping: Update description of Coastal Helicopter to indicate patient transport does not get the increased payout of HEMS, or correct payout of Coastal Helicopter patient transport to match HEMS payout.
