I am new to the game! I saw a post where someone said adding a firetruck to a mission cost an hour. That made me wonder - how far apart do you guys put all of your stations? I put them all around 1 mile away from each other for quicker responses. Is this not a good strategy? Are there benefits to spacing them out more?

I build my departments realistically so it all depends on where the stations are located IRL
For Example, these are my current stations In San Diego, CA

Got it, thanks! Yeah mine are waayyyyyy closer together - think 3 of each station in Downtown LA. Do missions take longer for you?
-
Depends on what resources are being used, If my engine from SND Station 1 is deployed but then a fire starts right next to it then response can be elongated a little bit

I use this link to find where the fire stations are in my set up.
United Statesfire.fandom.comIt is fairly accurate I find when I compare it to the department websites. That way as I build out stations and may my set up bigger the response times vary as they would in real life

Gotcha, thanks! I'll slowly but surely move all my stations to get there (as I slowly get coins). I assume there's no way to start over without creating a new account?

dont start over....just adjust as you can
-
I build wherever the station is in real life
