Equipment Market Changes

Suggested additions for equipment that can be assigned to vehicles.

1. Lower ground ladder coast to 10

2. Lower Swiftwater boat to 10

3.Lower medical equipment to 5 or 10. most U.S. fire apparatus have atleast BLS medical equipment on them.

4. Allowing for Type 5 engine to carry the following: Fire Hose Equipment, Technical Rescue Equipment, SAR Equipment.

this will allow for one to create a multi-purpose squad unit which is common in some rural areas to respond to rescue, wildland and strucutre fires.

5. Allowing Rescue Engine to carry Wildland Equipment

6. Allowing ARFF units to carry Hazmat Equipment and count as a foam tender as well

7. Allowing for platform truck to carry fire hose. yes i understand having quints but until you hit captain this can be a fair alternative to make more use of platforms

8. Either allowing pumper tanker to carry hazmat equipmet ( Pumper/tanker + hazmat equip. + foam equip= Hazmat Engine) .. or add a foam engine that counts as foam vehicle and a firetruck with 20 equip capacity.

better yet.....do away with the equipment market all together.... When you buy and Engine or Truck ladders come with it. Also an ARFF is not a Foam Tender....it is a suppression vehicle and a Foam Tender is a support unit carrying spare foam...two separate items. A quint is a quint and a Truck is a truck....a true "truck" does not not have pump/hose/water.

Agreed, the equipment market has made half these vehicles useless. you can get away with not using over half of them if you just buy a heavy rescue and load it down with stuff.
