Bomb missions

  • I would like to know why we in the UK version don’t have bomb missions,

Yes the UK doesn’t have bomb squads in the police force,

BUT instead, they’re part of the military, but do help the local force when needed,

So if there was a bomb sighted in a city or wherever, they’d send a request to the army for a bomb squad to be sent

I believe this should be an extension/expansion in the future,

BUT it should also be toggleable as well to make sure those who don’t want bomb missions don’t get bomb missions spawning

I’d prefer for this to be done as a new building or as an extension of either the HART or Police

    HART - done like Mass,

Police as there the ones who request a squad to be sent

  • It is borderline, but we do have Police Mission -
    Suspicious Package

Ironic, as I was thinking about MoD Police and related missions a few days ago

However it would probably similar to the Police Airfield specialization, which has very few missions and the missions that do exist are not really relevant to the vehicles available...
    Armed Cell Van (zero use!)

  • Thank you for raising this.

I’ve considered and built a prototype in-depth Explosive Ordinance Disposal content pack ready to be submitted to the devs, complete with over 20 missions specific to the pack, multiple vehicles, a new building and extensions.

Whether that is ever accepted by the devs, and/or implemented based on how I’ve designed it, only *insert your deity/expletive here* knows.

I have also considered the airport expansion’s limited use at this time, and feel (as I’m sure most UK players do) that it could use a tad more variety. The trouble is simply getting the devs to implement more than 3 missions a month… let alone 3 or more for the same service on top of the weekly missions. This plus trying to balance it with a clear desire for higher paying missions as well as expanding mission variety for specific unit types… you get the idea.

If I could, I’d dump about 50 new versions of existing missions or lower paying new missions with specific unit requirements to flesh out the game. Sadly, I can’t, and I don’t see the devs doing it anytime soon. Please know we as content creators want the best for this game and do regularly review feedback on here and on Facebook, as well as private messages, to try to do our best when the devs contact us.

  • ….MoD Police…..

The UK’s Armed forces (RAF, Army & RN) all have their own police:

    RMP/Royal Military Police - Army

    RNP - Navy

    RAFP - RAF police

Or did you mean all 3?

Even then, it comes under the broader term of Service Police

These forces only have jurisdiction over the respective force’s personnel

This is so discipline is enforced even when abroad

They don’t police citizens - if one is trespassing, and another crime is committed by said trespasser, the police will detain until the local force arrives to arrest them

Please note the MoD have a civilian police force separate to service police: https://www.mod.police.uk

*Edit* Also, in relation to your initial statement that the UK does not have any police-lead Explosive Ordinance Disposal, that is incorrect. The Metropolitan Police have a civilian unit dedicated to the role of EOD.

Similar in Scotland as well, just hope there are never more than two events at the same time though!
It has happened before though, were sent from Lancashire and then escorted throughout Scotland

Another is the (codename) TARDIS movement, again Scottish Police provide an escort throughout
The advantage now is the unitary Police, whereas before there used to be a handover between each constabulary
