Fixed: Number of Firefighters per unit / call requirements - Tech Rescuer?

  • I have equipped my Quints with 6 firefighters trained in Technical Rescue, with Light Tower, Energy Generator, and Tech Rescue equipment.

    Often on missions requiring ONE fire truck, it will arrive then show it needs one firefighter.

    What are the personnel requirements when the game asks for one firefighter?

    Do firefighters trained as Technical Rescuers no longer count as firefighters? If so, is there game documentation anywhere that states this? If this is not intentional, please correct it.

    Firefighters in the US that are trained in technical rescue are still trained as firefighters in most areas, allowing them to perform both functions.

    This happens with multiple units and with multiple missions.

  • Additional details: THIS IS NOT A FIX

    I cancelled the Quint from the scene, and reloaded the mission page. It indicates 1 firetruck required.


    I dispatch Engine 233 (Type 1 with 6 firefighters, one trained in Hazmat) to the call...


    On arrival, I reload the mission page and it accepts this engine and finishes the call.

  • Have now had several missions where the # of required fire fighters keeps changing throughout the mission yet there is nothing on the mission requirement page stating how many are required. all of my quint personnel ar tech rescue trained. this is getting ridiculous and needs to be addressed

    Had a mission with more than required # of units where there but it still said i needed 15 firefighters. All Engines are staffed with 4 and Ladders are 4-5

    Just completed a "fire in a paper mill" with one quint with 6 tech rescuers without issue. So it's likely fixed. Thank you for responding to show that you saw the issue and to come back and report a quick fix!

    I don't know if I understand what you mean by not using pre-equipped vehicles. Do you mean the equipment has to have firefighters or police with certain training to be able to leave station?

    Do firefighters trained to be tech rescuers not count towards the total people onsite? (I don't think this is the case because the unit I sent to test the fix was all tech rescuers.)
