Addition of utility companies or public works for municipalities

  • Just an idea for a future update

I see that a lot of new missions already need specialized responses (Police, Fire, EMS, Hazmat, etc.), but one area is missing: Utility/Public Works involvement.

    For example:

    • Power lines down → Utility crews to cut power/repair lines
    • Traffic light failure → City public works response
    • Water main breaks → Water company response or maybe city public works response
    • Leaking Natural Gas → Any company that responds to incidents for that nature

Adding these units would boost realism, expand mission variety, and create new strategies for dispatchers. 🚒🚓🚑⚡

I’ve been sending fire and law enforcement to calls involving power lines down on the roads, it would boost some realism to include utility companies or public works for cities to have trucks to respond to specific calls generated automatically. Could this be something for the future to have such an addition?

Changed the title of the thread from “Addition of utility companies” to “Addition of utility companies or public works for municipalities”.

Just a question? Do you realize what it means if they add this and make this required to complete missions? Do you realize the expense that would be incurred to add these units to a large set up? If it is implemented you would have to instantly add them to your entire set up....perhaps an entire state to be able to complete missions. And example is this.....they added Tech Rescue and Traffic Control requirements to some missions.....I have spent thousands of coins across my set up and still have not gotten halfway on either. Just saying...."Careful what you ask for"

  • They can just become separate missions that will only spawn if you have a utility building such as PG&E or whatever utilities company. It would be nice to require fire and police still, but it can definitely turn into an enabled mission when you get a utilities building.
