[Blocked Image: https://www.macneillie.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Police-public-order-riot-van.jpg]There is a big difference between Swat and Riot, That is that Swat use Guns and Riot Teams use shields and push back the crowed I think we should have a Riot Van.

In many cases they are normally cross trained or standard patrol units are riot trained

While this is typically true in the US, I can see the value in adding a Riot Van to the game.
-
I agree with gavin, it would give another aspect to the game and more content so it is not a bad idea.
-
I think a police bus its more important (who transport 6 officers) and cal deal as a normal patrol car.
-
also dog vans & swat teams need to be a normal patrol car too

Well I don't think that 6 men in tactical vest with M4s MP5s and ARs could respond to a "parked car accident", and also a dog couldn't do much in that situation
-
In the Uk, arv's with two armed officers will respond to normal calls too, also, Dog vans respond to RTC's.
-
Yeah, but I think in the game patrollers of UK are armed and non armed, based on what the player decides on them while SWAT is assault squad so TSG or more likely CO19, that's the reason why SWAT/CO19 can't be deployed in a traffic accident
-
The current SWAT unit is based on a bearcat SWAT team, you wouldn't see SWAT attending normal calls in an armoured vehicle in the UK
-
I think that Armed Police should be able to attend routine calls and patrol

I Agree with him since once there was a Traffic accident outside my house there was the RPU lads and then firearms lads since they were close by when it happened so firearmss would be sent to all calls

in the ukraine firetrucks were used to break up riots

Most countries do that since the Police force is too poor to afford a riot water cannon type thing

We are going to avoid this conversation please. This topic can be a sensitive subject in America so we are going to keep this thread on track. No water cannons will be implemented and fire trucks will not likely be added as a requirement to riot calls.

One more off Topic thing Fire are called to Riots quite often too be honest since 9/10 times Rioters like setting cars and buildings a light take the London riots for example Hundred's of officers and quite a lot of firefighters were injured during that riot

The Croydon Riots?

Alright gentlemen we’re gonna lock this topic. I asked us to get back on track and we won’t be discussing the history of London’s riots.
