• Hey y’all, I was doing some thinking about ideas for the mission chief team for possible future updates. (P.S. this is my first post)

My primary thought is to add equipment to Helicopters. Helicopters would have a limited equipment capacity, and based on mission set, specialized equipment could be added. For example, you could have a mission for Coastal Helo’s that requires hoist equipment to hoist a patient. Another example would be medical equipment additions to the Police Helo which could then be used in some missions.

In addition to this, helicopter crew members could also receive training to be able to operate said equipment. For example, hoists could require specialized aerial rescue training, or even just the use of tactical rescue training. Another possibility would be a specialized training for any helicopter crew members that can provide medical treatment aboard the aircraft.

This can add an extra level of realism by simulating, in the US, counties may use multi purpose helicopters. An example of this is Peoria Arizona, which has an air unit that supports both Fire and Police agencies in the area. A second real life example is the Delaware State Police’s duel Bell 429 helicopters, which are equipped for both Law Enforcement and EMS missions.

Ultimately, these are just the ideas of a random American who enjoys Mission Chief, so take all I have said with a grain of salt.

    Have a blessed day!

  • Hello Chief Boden

The idea is to add equipment to Helicopters, not to add helicopters themselves. On top of that, it is to add specialized training for some types of equipment.

    All the best,

  • As for adding equipment to the Costal Helicopter, I think it's assumed to have equipment/ training, based on some of the missions it can go on. As for other equipment - ie medical, considering what the devs think of how much space is taken by medical equipment in the fire equipment list, I'd say don't bother.
