    🔥 Railway Fire
    🚔 Railway Policing
    🚨 Mobile Operations Manager

    New Vehicles ⬇️

🔥 Road to Rail Unit; Requires Railway Fire Educated Staff.
🚨 Emergency Interventions Unit (EIU); Requires Mobile Operations Manager trained staff.

Missions? This time we've done things differently..

ALL existing missions with Railway POIs have new updated versions that require this CP.
We have also introduced 5 new missions, higher paying and needing various CPs from Recovery to SAR.

Meaning this CP is released with 22 missions!

This CP is also set to 100% chance, meaning as soon as you have an active extension and/or trained personnel you will only spawn the missions requiring the Railway CP and not the original.

As is always the case with CPs, there may be teething problems. Please report any issues below.

  • Railway Police is an education that is required by railway missions. It isn't currently required by vehicles, but a certain number of available Railway Police-trained personnel are required for particular missions to spawn, and for those missions to be completed they will require a given number of trained officers on-scene. You can check which missions require it via the possible missions screen with the 'Railway Police' requirement selected.

  • Police :
    EIU => Mobile Operations
Where does Railway Policing fit into this?

We have obviously tried to mirror the services in the UK without using names due to copyright.

Railway Policing will unlock the EIU which will be the Rail Network Response (trying not to use the name).

The Railway Police education is set like other educations in that you can choose the vehicle for staff.

Meaning you could have Railway Police IRV, ARV, DSU etc.. similar to IRL.

Sadly that is not how British Transport Police (BTP) works, there are no special vehicles, they are trained officers only

If ARV, DSU and so on are required, then local police provide these
These officers are then escorted by BTP

However for offences on the railway BTP can detain within the Police Station at the railway station

Please note your references to BTP not having access to specialist vehicles is only correct in certain regions. They do run dogs, firearms, PSU, search officers, CBRN specialists, CID etc, but not out of every station. ARVs are limited to London, Birmingham, Manchester and Patrol in and between key stations.

Please see here for further details on some of their specialist teams: https://careers.btp.police.uk/roles/specialist-teams/

I have checked with BTP and sadly this is not the case
Specialists are from local police, on request as and when required, BTP have none of these!

I have checked with BTP Scotland and they too only have PTS certified officers
DSU in Scotland = zero (16 on call from Police Scotland)
ARV in Scotland = zero (9 on call from Police Scotland)
EIV = three (8 on call from Network Rail)

  • What you have checked with them for Scotland is as may be, and as stated above in certain regions in England and wales this is the case, however BTP does still use those specialist teams as per their own website which is live and current.

Regardless of the above, nobody has told you that you MUST use rail trained staff in any specialist vehicles. Only that the option is available should you wish to.

Should you wish to correct me on this again, I would appreciate any source material being linked so that all users can read the same information you claim to have access to. This helps to keep the forums clear on what information comes from which sources to avoid misinformation or ambiguity.

I have created a new Dispatch Centre -
    BTP West

To this I have added -
    BTP West Control Room
    BTP Glasgow Central
    BTP Glasgow Queen Street

I have removed all the Police Officers and vehicles
I have then added the required Railway Police and vehicles

From the Possible Missions I should have five missions
So far I have had none

Equally, I have noted that they are all Fire missions
I have upgraded one Fire Station so far
From the Possible Missions I should have three missions
Again, so far I have had none

When you combine both together the net is two missions

  • Please DM screenshots showing;

    - Dispatch centres have required extensions, units & trained staff (and that they're active).

    - Possible mission list to show that the missions are not showing as criteria met.

When I have this I can look to raise as a fault.

  • Looks like your dispatch centre is turned off. That would cause this issue wouldn't it? (at least on the police side)

I turn them on for Mission types as and when required
This then provides missions only from the stations that are active / on

In this case I wanted BTP Police and Fire Missions, so both were on
I had about 75 missions, three sets of 25, none Railway related

This works fine for the Recovery Centres, again the Dispatch Centre is off
I then receive both Fire and Police which require Recovery vehicles

Finally, I also have SORT (HART) and again these two buildings work correctly for both Fire and Police

  • Hello there I was just wondering if there was any chance of maybe getting a whole new station for the rail stuff for engineers I know you can’t use network rail but that is why I have said engineers for various vehicles like there own eiu command units and other vehicles like that similar to the tow truck update

  • Thank you

I have looked at a few of the missions you should be getting and whereas you do have the required buildings/extensions etc you do not have the number of trained staff.

You have 3 Railway Police trained staff, this is enough for the missions however they need 4 trained staff to be available in order to generate.

A standalone building was discussed but then we decided not to proceed as we were only introducing 2 vehicles, 1 of which (Road to Rail) would be for Fire stations.

We then decided the EIU would be better suited for the Police station.

The missions I looked at in detail showed only four Railway Police had to be available with two Railway Police required

I assume you mean per station
I have assigned one MOM and one Railway Police per vehicle
This leaves spare staff (oddly this works for normal Police Stations)
I will add one further vehicle to each station and then compare

    What about the Fire station?

I agree this would make more sense for the RRU
I am going to test with a separate station and compare

I have separated out BTP, but this is not setup as a specialisation so still mixes with normal missions
However as I expand the number of BTP Stations this should correct itself
