Adjusting Missions to be more applicable to the UK version

  • Alot of missions have "Overly Wordy" mission titles, or super specific titles aswell as "Americanisms" I think these should be changed to be more applicable to the UK version, the first list being mostly okay interms of requirements, just needing minor adjustments inorder to sound more UK orientated, aswell as better translated by reducing overly wordy Titles.

    Current MissionProposed Mission
Dog loose on roadDog in Carriageway
Dog running around on motorwayDog in Carriageway (Fast Road)
Truck overturned by strong windsRTC HGV Rollover (add traffic cars)
Person trapped under vehicleRTC Pedestrian Under vehicle (Entrapment) (add traffic cars)
Driver hit by loose truck wheelRTC Single-Vehicle Caused by Debris (add traffic cars)
Collision between two busesRTC Multiple Buses Involved RTC - Major Incident (RSUs to 4, FOs to 8, 2 OTL)
Car into telegraph poleRTC Car into Telegraph Pole
    Person suffers diabetic shockDiabetic Shock
Mountainbiker hit a treeRTC Single Bicycle Involved (Add Police)

This second list contains the "Supermarket" set of missions they added, which in their current state likely: A) wouldn't trigger an ambulance response B) overly specific and wordy - seemingly impossible scenarios. I was initially going to ask these missions be pulled, however I doubt the devs would agree to this. So I've been creative to try and edit these missions to be far more applicable to real emergency calls and far more realistic, aswell as more concise in their titles.

I hope my formatting makes this easy to read aswell as put forward to the devs.

Hand Laceration Caused By Malfunctioning Deli SlicerHand Laceration (No POI, Remove Pump, C2/C3 | 30% Transport)

Scare Prank Triggers Heart AttackSuspected Heart Attack (Remove Police/Prisoner | C1|Transport 100% | CC 45%)

Thank you for the time taken to read this and obviously if the advisors believe that some of my recommendations should be adjusted before sent to the devs! - Go for it!

    * Also needs the following adjusted: Fire Stations to 13, Police Stations to 3, Ambulance Stations to 6 aswell as removing "HAZMAT" personnel (US version, relic)

  • Every single one of these changes would be great. I do recall looking at these calls when they appear and think they are a bit weird, but when listed like this, its actually kinda insane :D

    Mountainbiker hit a tree
RTC Bike into Tree (Add Police)

Maybe even just RTC - Collision involving bicycle?

Would probably be more reasonable for a standard call, with maybe then an MRT version for someone who has crashed a bike hard enough to require emergency services somewhere remote and needing more than just an ambulance?

Thank you! - I promise i didnt copy your thread lol i had this drafted for a few hours to adjust formatting to actually be readable 🙈

Haha, well, I got the idea for my post from your posts about adjusting requirements for some of the fire fighting missions anyway (especially the Hydrant call) :D

(I also added an edit to the post above)

    I 100% agree

  • I didnt know that - how would it be logged then? Or i suppose it would be as-is?

From a police point of view we wouldn’t log it. I’d suggest ambulance would log it under the injury caused rather than the mechanism but that’s an educated guess at best. Would defer to an ambulance advisor on that.

Would be logged as a trauma call, PT coding would vary between C1-C3

  • Semi-related to this thread, so gunna post here.

Anyone know what this call is actually referring too?

    Injury at survival game

or is it something american, and therefore relevant to this thread?

From a quick google search, it’s something on a computer involving zombies…

On a more serious note, I suspect it’s something akin to either:

    1. A large outdoor game of hide and seek in a rural setting.
    2. A fend-for-yourself outdoors activity where you must construct shelter and seek food and water in an unfamiliar rural environment.

I suspect this is not American but some sort of vague mis-translation from the German game or from German culture as the developers are based there.

All of the above is an educated guess, except the part about zombies which Google told me.

  • Yeah, that is semi-what I thought too. Just a bit of a wierd call overall then
