HEMS - Not a Quick Fix

  • I can definitely see the utility for a two tier critical care system, this would represent the reality of different skillsets e.g. doctor-led teams. Although I’m not sure all players would favour this.

I can also see that HEMS perhaps offers that as a two tier system, and then offers players who’ve spent their funds on HEMS. My only concern with this is like I mentioned the application for realistic players.

I do like the sound of a BASICS like system, even if that just meant a ‘HEMS’ training or ‘HEMS RRV’ which could be purchased at home response locations?

Im sure toogle could be added, similar to critical care - “Enable Doctor” requirement within dispatch centre, aslong as it could be disabled seperately from standard critical care?

Getting HEMS RRVs in Home Response Locations to fill the gaps of BASICS is a really cool idea and id defo be onboard for it

The current system allows for players to use HEMS or RRV just like IRL and also allows for mimicking BASICS with HRLs and General Practitioner Cars (named this way as we can't use real life names).

I had mentioned this earlier in the thread, so for 2 more posts to talk about the same things makes me think posts aren't being read.

  • Personally yeah i have CC disabled, and i dispatch it to missions i feel apropriate (secamb has 10 CCPs on duty at once, one per MRC) so following ingame wiith the sheer amount of CC paitents, is simply impossible, i'd also like to see a cap of 2 CC requiring paitents at any scene, i dislike when EVERY paitent at a mass casualty-call needs cc. even if graded c3 (walking wounded)

Yeah, my setup is that I have all RRVs and HEMS trained in CC, with some UCAs as well. But I dont have most ambos trained in CC. But I usually end up just dispatching an RRV to pretty much every call.

I'm aware some players have trained all ambulance staff in Critical Care so every resource can provide the requirement.

Ah. I thought that might have been what you meant, yeah, that seems to be the default I see a lot of people do.

Not all C1 patients require CC involvement and quite often lower coded patients C2-C3 require CC.

The sprain mission was not our doing.

Whatever rework happens for CC we will adjust the requirements on all existing missions and I will try to push for higher payouts when used.

Yeah, that has always been the bit I dislike about CC, is that there is no clear way of telling whether or not its actually needed.
