Interfacility transfer spawn Criteria

  • Hey yall,

I understand the the max number of simultaneous missions is you your highest amount of stations of the same type but what determines the max number of IFTs, I have been capped at 3 missions for quite a while, I assumed that building more hospitals and clinics would create more spawns but i am still capped at 3 max.

Does anyone have any documentation of what the requirements are?

Interfacility transports in MissionChief are spawned automatically based on your available transport units. They do not follow regular mission ranges. Instead, their generation depends on the type of facility you build: [1, 2]

    • Standard Patient Transfer: Spawns from Urgent Care Centers (UCC) and requires at least one player-built hospital. Patients need to be moved to a hospital within a 35-mile radius. Code A and B patients require a BLS Ambulance, while higher codes require an ALS Ambulance. [1]
      • Critical Care Transport (CCTU): Spawns automatically when a patient already in a hospital bed requires special treatment only available at a different hospital. It selects the patient with the longest treatment time and requires a specialized CCTU vehicle and a Critical Care education
    • In MissionChief, the number of concurrent interfacility transport missions (Patient Transport and Critical Care Transport) that spawn is directly determined by the number of transport units and hospitals you have, rather than the normal mission generation caps. [1, 2]
    • The game determines these spawns using the following mechanics:
    • Transport Vehicles Available: The spawn limit for standard patient transfers depends directly on the number of Ambulance Transport vehicles you own. [1]
    • Hospital Availability: You must have at least one hospital built to receive regular patient transport missions, and at least two hospitals to receive critical care transport missions. [1, 2]
    • Critical Care (CCTU): For Critical Care Transport missions, a job will spawn when patients currently in hospital beds require a transfer to a different hospital for specialized care. The mission will select the patient with the longest remaining treatment time. [1, 2]
    • Mission Range: Unlike standard emergency calls, interfacility transports do not follow a specific geographical spawn radius from your stations, but instead rely solely on available assets. [1]
