Typically for these events, the last few collective tasks reward 1-2 coins, but this summer event doesnt appear to reward any. Is this a mistake or intentional?

I think the decision to reward coins or credit lies with the developers as some missions give coins this week and then credits next week. So I would guess that what you see is correct. I would rather have the credits anyway and the coins awarded never give you an adequate return on what it cost to complete the task in most cases.

Yeah, maybe, for me though, its just enough to usually allow me to buy premium time for free.
