Just opened my 3rd dispatch area and built 1 fire hall and 1 police station for it but I am getting trench rescues and brawls and protests even though I don't have enough resources? I thought the new dispatch area would get only calls based on how many buildings were in it?

When editing your dispatch center, make sure it's selected to have its own area of operations.

what exactly does that mean?

@Missionchief17 Once you build multiple dispatch centers, you can configure them to where you only get calls that can be completed with only the units (stations) that are in that dispatch center. Ex: You have 2 dispatch centers, and on one of them you only have 2 FD stns. You can set it up to where yo don't get like Bldg. Collapses near the area with 2 stations.

Can someone provide detailed instructions on how to adjust calls with the dispatch center? I have gone through settings but am not finding anything that can control the calls volume.

Edit the building. The same place where you'd edit its name.

Completely separate thing. Under the profile tab, click "Mission Speed" in order to adjust the mission speed.

I meant what does 'own area of operations' mean.

The calls that those stations can get are based on only the number of stations assigned to that dispatch center.

Assign your stations to the correct dispatch centre. If not done then any unassigned stations will be considered to cover all areas (as they do by default) and thus keep areas with high number of stations receiving calls of that number.
