I know there's been a lot of talk about sharing your personal stations with the alliance, but what about the idea of having alliance stations bought in the same way alliance hospitals and prisons are bought. I'm thinking there could be a designation that admins can give in the same way as TR admins, co-ads, educator, finances... Let me know what you guys think of the idea.
Alliance stations

The idea is very interesting, and I bet many people have thought about that too
I can also bet that within 24 hours people will come up with 1000 different reasons for that to be considered a bad idea
Truth is, if we could make it work for the game and the players it would be very coolMain question is how you can dispatch alliance vehicles, etc...
Find a balanced solution for that and this could become a real thing

Main question is how you can dispatch alliance vehicle
Good point. What I came up with so far is to be able to answer the call as if it was your own, then at the top, below the gray box with call details, there could be a button, similar to the alarm and response regulation buttons. One that says personal and the other that says alliance. I'm thinking what those buttons would change is only the available units. I believe that your alarm and response regulations should stay the same when dispatching for the alliance for your own comfort, plus everyone has their own taste on dispatching so its good to keep it fluid.
Some more things I think should be mentioned:
- cost should stay the same as normal station costs.
- would be able to buy all the types of stations(PD/HELO/FD/MED/FMED)
- the full payout of the calls that alliance units respond to should be applied directly to alliance funds
-
I like all the aforementioned points that you made along with the original idea itself. It could allow buildings/teams such as the FEMA Taskforces, FBI, DEA, etc. So that they are extra help when needed or to promote more role play. Nice thoughts!

Sounds good!
Also, I think only alliance admins/co-admins should be allowed to manage the staff from the alliance buildings
Along that, acess to dispatch the alliance vehicles should be for only approved members by the admins of each alliance, so if there is someone in the alliance who doesn't like to help the alliance he wouldn't be able to use the alliance vehicles for him self
I want to see what other people think about this though -
I like this idea.
I'm in California, and have a small alliance with two coworkers. Our agency (and California in general) has a very active and relatively seamless mutual aid program, and all agencies in our region subscribe to "closest resource" concept, regardless of who the resource belongs to. We've built our areas accordingly, but unfortunately, as we work different schedules, when one of the members isn't on, we cannot use their resources for mutual aid, which is a significant hindrance, and causes long response times and shortage of resources for large calls.
I was wondering if there could be a way to give alliance members permission to use your resources for responses when you are not online, but this could work as well...as long as the alliance built the station.
-
I think another thing worth mentioning for this is that an alliance station would not be able to generate it's own calls. I think if it did, that would make it way too complicated.

How about using the alliance station to your own calls? As long as it's within 400 meters of your call zone of course. You'd just have to discuss if with those that you'd share it with. Anyone could chip in to expand it so more units would be available.

That's more along the lines of sharing your station instead of the alliance having the station, in my opinion. I suggested this as an alternative to sharing your own stations.

Sharing stations would just be a problem... a big one
When you needed your units someone would be using it, it would quickly be denied by many people -

In a way, Sharing your stations and an alliance station is the exact same thing.
Unless the alliance Admin sets it up and runs it but allowing members within that area to use it under complete supervision by that alliance Admin.

If you have 10 stations you can get 11 calls
If you have 9 stations and 1 from the alliance you get 10 calls
The alliance station is more like an extra help, sharing your stations with other alliance members is the same as them sharing calls and you sending units there
In my point of view those two are not the same -

How about one big station that allows user to place their own units in there? Idk just throwing thoughts out there. But alliance stations could be a good idea for mutual aid when you need extra help.

Basicly a permanent staging area?

That's another option. I like that better than sharing your stations
