New update for the wildfire seems good, but I was wondering, what actually is a crew cap semi?
New vehicle with widlfire update

Have you figured out what the new water system entails?
-
I'm assuming it is a typo, and its supposed to say "Crew Cab Semi" which tows the dozer trailer; but most dozer transports aren't crew cab so I'm not sure
-
It's a Crew Cab Semi just misspelled. I'll have that fixed. For now until mote updates come out I recommend changing the name and crew count.
The water system introduces new calls that require a certain amount of water to complete the mission. All Brush Type Units, Pumper Tankers and Tankers can be used to accomplish this.

I see that Type 6 and type 7 Wildland units don’t have a water capacity?
I am trying to build the state of California realistically and Type 6 Wildland engines will be the main ones I am using. So I was wondering if they carry water or not.

To answer your question no they do not. Type 3 is the only Brush Unit that can act as an engine but Types 6 & 7 do not contain water tanks.

Was this a middle ground with the devs? True brush resources all have water tanks, what good is an engine without a source.
-
exactly I am confused why they don’t carry any water in game. They obviously do in real life and it is very common Wildland unit for Calfire. So I am hoping they at least add a water capacity for the Type 6.
-
Type 6's are less common in CalFire but there are very common in California. The state actually requires Type 6's to carry at least 150 gallons to be certified as a type 6.

Thanks, I was unsure whether it was a typo as it had been called a crew cap semi on the facebook page as well.

Just though I would throw this up there, most people might know already but it is an interesting tid bit on how the government see's the wildfire engines/trucks/
If you want to see the whole document here is the link.

Thanks guys! I have noticed that the Type 6 and 7 Wildland units now have a water carrying capacity.
-
would be nice to see water capacity added for type 1, 2, rescue engine and quints, would add to realism for those of us that still use a UK/euro set up on here
-
In real life Engines for sure have a water carrying capacity. But I don’t know how they would implement that in terms of gallons required. Maybe someone more creative could make up that system but yes, engines are very crucial for water supply on real life.

Types 1. 2 and 2 usually carry 500 gallons of water. They can also act as a water shuttle for wild land fire and should be counted like the water tankers as having water carrying capacity. Type 1, 2, and 3 water capacity should aslo be counted for other missions like large field fires, etc.

I think the "regular" missions that are field fires, hay bale fires. anything not structures, vehicles, etc, should allow wildfire trucks to handle them.
