Patient Determinant Priority OMEGA (Ω) - Requiring ALS in Error

Good Afternoon,

The new calls have introduced the OMEGA (Ω) response determinant.

However, this determinant in Missionchief is currently requiring an ALS Ambulance.

The Omega Determinant is generally used for Referral to Outside Agency / Community Services.

I believe that this determinant should only require an EMS Rescue, Fly-Car or EMS Chief (but should be able to be serviced by both a BLS or ALS ambulance).

Great observation, I will forward this on and see if we can get it corrected. You are correct, in theory an Omega response should be able to be handled by any level of transporting resource in most jurisdictions.

According to official documents from the local agencies where I play, the Omega level is a below a A level.
Where I play, an Omega patient requires an ambulance without lights and siren, in the 59:59 mins in and urban area, 89:59 mins in a suburban area and a non-determined time in a rural zone. The Omega status specifies that no first responders are needed. So an Omega patient is not a medical emergency but more like a medical transport.
