Multi Station (PLEASE USE THIS TOPIC FOR FEEDBACK REGARDING THE NEW “COMPLEX” BUILDINGS)

  • It requires me to enlarge the existing stations to 39. Rural stations are never that large, ever. Sorry but this is an epic fail. To try to make a realistic set up I placed the small volunteer stations around a community as they should be. It also isn't unusual to have a police station share a large building with a local fire department. Taking a little artistic license because this is a game required me to make the fire stations a little larger than they should be. None of the 100's of stations I have are expanded that much except a make-believe one I created for a storage facility and "training" center. (warm bodies for recruiting) I was excited about the building complex until I realized this very unrealistic requirement. I would be happy to use it as an EOC since some counties have large facilities that house multiple types of vehicles but even that doesn't fit this requirement. On many levels, this does not make any sense.

  • I personally feel like we don't need this. I would rather see forestry in small FDs because I can 100% garuntee you every fire department in Missouri has either a brush truck or any other type of Forestry truck. Jerico Springs Fire Department down here currently only has a brush truck and a tanker. Meaning so if I want to build the station it would be more just for one truck. So in conclusion I do not agree with this.

  • just curious as to what you mean within your fourth paragraph in saying “you will need quadruple the units”?

    If you want to run 4 watches like is used by UK fire services in the game you need to have 1 set of vehicles per watch.


    Yes there are a small handful of players doing this and also working using the retained and volunteer systems too.


    If you are committing to running watches from a wholetime station that normally has 2 pumps, 1 specialist unit and and officer you would need to have 8 pumps, 4 specialist units and at 4 officers. Just to run a 4 watch system.


    Personally I do not run watches as it's a major waste of money and spaces.


    Still even if I did I would not be building any building complexes as they are extortionate.


    One member of my alliance is using them and I believe they are now sitting ar 32m for them just to convert the building. Which proves that this idea is all about making money from coins.


    Devs it's time to admit this idea is not something that people feel is appropriate in it's current form. It comes nowhere near what people were referring to when wanting multi-service stations and there is no way you can brand this as close to realistic as it's no where near that.

  • Now the US has also gotten this "wonderfull" update. The building itself states "Vehicle Efficiency". Does anyone know what that exactly means?

    Pretty sure it just means efficiency in storing vehicles.

  • Even the community team is unsure what it is and we are still trying to find out what it does or affects.


    I just wish we could make complexes of just 1 building type to allow us to build hq's.

    The vehicle efficiency at the complex brings a percentage faster processing of the operations for the cars that are there, depending on the expansion stage of the complex.

    I feel the same way. I have been toying with the idea of merging in my "Traning / Recruitment" facilities. I did build a complex already before thinking about utilizing the recruitment centers. I too was thinking recruitment/Training and vehicle warehouse. But it was very painful the first time very very costly. They are plenty of Public Safety Buildings (Complexes) that exist; however, they are alot smaller in nature.

  • This small one is even more stupid then the last, what if i just want to merge a police and fire? Oh no I cant I need 3. Waste of devs time. Just add a police expansion to a fire station ( and vice versa ) not all Ruarl areas have ambualnce staions or ACRPS

    I completely agree. This whole complex idea has been flawed from the beginning, and needs a complete overhaul. There are simply too many restrictions for it to be of value.


    One of the best updates to ever come to the game was that of custom vehicle types. That gave players the freedom they were asking for. This complex update however has done the opposite. It has so many restrictions (maxed buildings, certain number of buildings -no more or less- certain types of buildings etc...). It’s far too much of a grind for what is still effectively a cosmetic and minor layout / parking update.


    Please can a strongly worded reaction be sent to the devs signed by every player who would see them focus on what we, the players, are asking for, rather than petty cash grabs by a company who unfortunately are more suited to mobile pay to win apps.

  • I have dabbled with this complex idea as got a set of stations on the Shetland isles that this may work with but only trying it those what it is like.


    No doubt it's useless and adds nothing and I've just wasted a couple million on sorting it.

  • I have 10 ambulance stations in the same place and, although I appreciate the downgrade to small stations but... that is still way to much. I am only doing this to try it tbh why do the devs not just want to make it affordable?

  • So i thought i'd try using the building complex for West Yorkshire Police training centre as i have 3 separate police stations to simulate each of the buildings up there. I was under the theory of you could add any building into a complex but to my surprise after spending the credits on building one i can't add buildings of the same type into it. This is BS what is point of this feature. I have very few area's where all 3 services are together and if they are they have less than 6 units between them let along 18 or so spaces which the game wants. This could be an amazing feature if you can add multiple buildings of the same type together to make 1 big complex over say 4 or so separate buildings

    That was my idea for the complex building as I would use it for all my police service HQs /

  • Well, at least I know why they do now... I was going to merge all of my small ambo stations together. Even if it was going to be implemented it’s not intuitive at all. It won’t make sense until you spend millions upgrading your stations.
