HART vehicles

  • Hey Community,

    I'm more or less back.

    Jolly good this new update. Finally something worth logging in :)

    Can i have hints what vehicle suits well for which type of category ?

    Like the standard VW Transporters and Sprinters. PRV? SRV?

    Welfare? Can somebody show some IRL photo?

    Cheers.

    Stay safe!<3

  • PRV = VW Transporter

    SRV = WAS Mercedes Sprinter

    Welfare = Mercedes Sprinter

    Crew Carrier = Mercedes Sprinter

    ATV Carrier = Previously Iveco Daily with a pod, some services are getting DAF LF's, West Midlands have got a new Iveco Daily rigid HGV - the ATV is a Polaris 6x6

    EDIT:

    Here's the line up for East of England (with old Polaris carrier)

    From left to right: ATV carrier; crew carrier; welfare unit; secondary response vehicle; primary response vehicle; ATV

    And WMAS Polaris carrier

    Generally each HART base has the following;

    3 PRVs

    3 SRVs

    1 Welfare unit

    2 Crew carriers

    1 ATV carrier

  • They are not part of the HART fleet so would fall under logistics within the main service.

    They're under EPRR for LAS, might still gonna add them to HART for support.

  • Yeah as Vic says, ESU’s will most likely fall under logistics or SORT. With London EPRR covers all major incident units but isn’t specifically HART. HART falls under NARU who set out the standard of the , 3 PRVs, 3 SRVs, 1 Welfare unit, 2 Crew carriers, 1 ATV carrier etc.

  • Really like the update, so good work on that :)

    But would it be possible to set the HART unit dispatch to custom units only? Currently they dispatch as own class AND as RRV. This causes quite a few issues when using AARR and given I've got over 600 HART units I don't really want to update each unit manually to only dispatch as own vehicle class.

    Is this something that can be easily updated?

    I agree, i hate having it sent as a rrv.

    HART PRVs are also used as RRVs for Cat 1 calls if closer or of use, so that is probably why they are also considered RRVs.

    HART units aren't used as RRVs for first response to cat 1 calls unless it's deemed that they will be required for the job for their skills.

    This may be different depending on the trust area however they're generally protected to ensure their readiness.

    I'm amazed to hear though that someone has bought and trained 600 HART units! That's quite something!

    *edit* I have tested this and have seen the issue, I have put this forward to the team to be changed.

    Oops yep, didn't mean that they will respond to anything and everything like that, but as they carry additional and more specialised drugs they can be called to Cat 1s to provide this advanced level of treatment regardless of a need for technical rescue or assessment. To me they make perfect sense to act as RRVs in game for this reason.

  • Ha, yeah, it’s been a busy weekend!

    Thanks for looking at this so quickly, really appreciate it :)

    No I fully understand and agree however it doesn't happen as often as you'd think.

    I don't personally believe there is the need for them to act as RRVs in the game as they don't IRL and if members want to use them as such they can just dispatch them normally.

    I've asked for this to be changed.
