water rescue

  • I'm not sure what you're trying to say, I think there are a couple of typos or something.

What I'm more trying to say is right now it seems everything is solely based on England and Wales' systems, while this is for the entire UK. I think more attention could be placed not just on those two regions.

what i was trying to say is they wont add units that solely scotland has espeicaly if they are required for missions as it will break most set ups

  • HART would not be tasked for water rescue in place of an actual rescue asset such as fire so this suggestion is not realistic.

I'll admit my reasoning was flawed, on second thoughts to me it does make sense not to include a HART-specific water rescue unit. Although I think for some water rescue missions HART teams should attend alongside other agencies, just without a specialized vehicle for it. That way it's both realistic and allows a way for people to still have a Water Rescue unit for their SORT/HART teams (using custom categories, callsigns and such).

I still kind of think diversifying things would be a good idea, it seems most of the specialists are based in England + Wales when there are much larger regions within the UK. (However, I understand using HART as the base makes sense since it covers the majority of the UK, which I'm okay with.)

My thinking on it is that of course if you'd like to send HART (Scottish SORT) to a future water rescue mission alongside dedicated rescue units, then you'll have that option whether it's part of the mission requirement or not. I do find the regional oddities that are only found in one or two services to be very interesting, and perhaps a long way down the future of the game, these specific and unusual units could be added in after the core three services (and perhaps HMCG) have been flushed out in a way that benefits the playing majority.

  • If you wanted a specific water rescue unit you could just rename it HART vehicle and use it in that way. Many different areas have different units but it would be ridiculous to have all of them, hence why we only have vehicles which are universal and can represent multiple units and you can use them in a way that you like.

If you check above you will see I have already addressed why an ambulance-specific Water Rescue is not needed.

  • I would like to see water rescue at small fire stations

That will not happen. I have brought up to the devs many times about adding expansions to small stations but it’s not possible with how Sebastian designed the small stations originally out of fear of players cheating the system

  • In Kent we may have a 1 pump stations then we can also have a 8 unit station (Inc pods and officers)

I'm not completely sure how water rescue works over there so I don't think I'm in any position to say whether only large stations getting the expansion is good or bad. It would work fine for Scotland but I understand in some other regions of the Uk it works differently.
