Many trusts operate intermediate and urgent care ambulances. These are often crewed by Emergency Medical Technicians or a Paramedic and Care Assistant. Providing a service which isn’t Paramedic Emergency Service but bridges the gap between Patient Transport and Accident and Emergency Ambulances. They are still blue light equipped and can be used as a first response to critical calls e.g. cardiac arrests but are mainly used for inter facility transfers, hospital admittance and other minor transports. In game this could be a vehicle which costs around 2000 credits making it cheaper than a regular ambulance and would be able to treat and Transport C4 and possibly some C3, and transport any C2-4 with an RRV. Very similar to the US BLS ambulance. It could also have a option to upgrade the vehicle for 2000 credits to a normal ambulance as often in real life intermediate vehicles can be fitted out with more equipment or higher trained staff in times of demand.

Nope, it would never be required, just an option for players. Like light 4x4 pumps and rrvs, just additional vehicles which are cheaper and often a different service to offer realism and support for the main units.

I like the idea of a Patient Transport Service type of unit, as it would fit well with the patient transfer missions

The majority of you are aware by now we are working on the final part of what we have named the HART update at the moment, this will be the last ambulance update before we move onto other services. We do have a list of units however that maybe added as one offs or in a pack a lot later down the line which function the same as existing units but have a few different characteristics such as bicycles which would be slower than other units but would allow someone to replicate setups more realistically. I would imagine these types of units would fit in here

Just a question when we get stuff like motorbikes, would they be faster? Also would the HEMS staff chaange be part of HART?

Trying to sort out HEMS is part of HART part 3. Yes things like moterbikes should be a bit quicker than RRV’s when added

I was under the impression that adjusting vehicle travel speed wasn’t possible?

As was I but I’m not sure if the new devs have changed something or whether that was just smoke and mirrors by the old Dev as having now seen the vehicle code there is a definitely a speed setting
