Military would not be controlled by an emergency service dispatcher, if the military had to be involved it would be a major incident/event or a special service would be required

military is not controlled by emergency dispatch. and anyway military dont intervene much anyway

i think oncewe get the THW/city works side started we could think of adding it in kinda like the utility but can only be used for trench building collapse and flood events

i don't think so for building collapses but floods yes. nearly all floods which happen in the UK are assisted by the army.

The only time the military would be called in would be in the event of a large scale disaster, they would also only offer man power as these are not swift water rescue technicians or USAR search operatives, don't forget they are soldiers trained for fighting not emergency services.

The military might have small units that specialise in things such as search dogs or water rescue however the majority of personnel would not be trained in these two things. When you look at the past large scale flooding in the UK the military were there because the army's royal engineers were constructing flood barriers and the other soldiers were conducting evacuations and checking on vulnerable people rather than emergency response as that was left to the Fire Service, Police and ambulance.

Earlier this year there was a large flood warning in place in the east of England and the RAF were using Sentinal reconnaissance aircraft to check for breaches in flood barriers but again the military were not involved in emergency situations.
