    Hi all,

It's been a LONG time since I've hit this forum. I've been playing since the beginning, with a long break in the middle.

One question I can't seem to answer on my own... will Foam Trailers fulfill the Foam Tender requirement on National Archives Fire? What about Large ARFF Crash Tenders?

Also, returning to the forum to say to admins, PLEASE remove some of the Mobile Command Unit requirements.... they are SO excessive!

    Hello there!

Definitely been a long time since I've seen you around. Welcome back!

Yes, Foam Trailers will fulfill the Foam Tender requirement.

As far as ARFF it might but I haven't had to try this myself but I am rather curious.

Which Command Unit requirements are you talking about?

Interesting... I feel like I've had Foam Trailers not fulfill the requirement but maybe I'm crazy.

As far as Mobile Commands, in the US they are very rarely deployed. Missions such as:

    Commercial Fire

    Unknown Tanker Spill

    Fire in an Office Building

    Fire on Farm Medium/Large

    Museum Fire

    Etc.

Should not require an MCV. In the US most of these would be a simple Commercial Structure Fire response, which rarely requires an MCV. For those who are attempting realistic setups where there are only 1/2 MCVs in an entire region this extremely taxing.

  • Agree.....missions with in the game that don't need mobile command or even a chief officer for command get them required and then missions that should have them do not require one.. But.....that is the way the game is set up so, if I think one is needed....I just add them regardless of requirement.

  • I use Battalion Chiefs for Battalion chiefs and MCV for Division Chiefs or City Wide Tour Commanders to satisfy the MCV requirements

  • I've found workarounds too, but the only major city in my area is St. Louis, and now that I am well-advanced into rural Missouri it's getting silly. MCV would also not be needed on Tanker Truck Explosions.

The Tanker explosions one could be debated... I know of at least two of those type calls that turned into a multi day mission in real life. I know it may not be real life, but to play the game, I simply purchased one (1) MCV and put it in the center of Counties that are rural. Takes a bit for it to get there, but at least I have one available

  • I suppose in rural areas the chief of dept might be there (opposed to a battalion chief) so maybe use the mcv for the chief instead of a BC

  • I use MVC as Chiefs, Deputy Chiefs, District Chiefs, Asst. Chiefs, ect... I only use Battalion Chiefs as Battalions.

However, I've renamed my "MVC" and "Battalion Chief" vehicles as their own category and named them (Battalion). So if an MCV (Chief) is closer than a Battalion Chief, the MCV will Respond in replace of the Battalion.

for the MVC, leave unclicked ""Only dispatch vehicle as own vehicle class.ly dispatch vehicle as own vehicle class."" so that in my ARP, I can still dispatch an MVC specific unit to a call and not just a battalion.
