The thing with rescue engines and Quints is they both have the base vehicles however there's only 1 type 3 but that's a double unit,. You could use a type 4 or somthing but knowing wizz he would probably rather jump of a cliff then do that 😂
Edit:Sorry I replied to wizz not weeman sorry wizz
It'll do my head in if I use a type 4 knowing it has to be a type 3 haha

No I read correctly. It confuses people to why there is a checkbox. It is a combo unit. I don’t think checkboxes would be appropriate for Quints and rescue engines which is why I disagree with the implementation to the type 3 engine.
It confuses nobody, not all type 3's serve as primary engines. Why should I have to do something confusing compared to something that makes complete sense? You wouldn't do it with a quint or rescue engine because you already have it lol, quint is just a platform, so you just buy that etc, what you're trying to compare doesn't make sense.

If it is primarily an engine just build it as a type one then...
No because it's also a brush engine, so that wouldn't work. Rural areas for example some stations where I've built have type 3's as their primary engines.
Unfortunately I disagree. There may be a way to fix that by making new vehicle aar categories but as far as confusing other newer players on the type 3’s use would be sufficient to disagree with this idea. I know it may be annoying sometimes but I would keep it how it is. Unlike the motor officer and pd car the type 3 engine and a type one engine have no disadvantages besides the type 3 being a woodland unit. The motor motorcycle cannot transport which is the main reason why it is separated.
No you don't understand what I'm saying, read the main post again. I asked for A CHECKBOX, that is left UNCHECKED by default causing the type 3 to still act as a type 1, but as soon as you check that checkbox, it makes it so it's only a type 3 and DOESN'T respond as a type 1. The way they've done the wildland ARR as it is, is messy and is quite frankly more confusing than what I'm suggesting.
-
As the title says, can we have a checkbox on the type 3 engine's to disable them counting as a type 1? I say a checkbox because some type 3's are primary engines, but the majority aren't, just something small which avoids using ARRs and a confusing mess.

Yup because they give ALS care. Same with a fly car.

I couldn't do an ems station for 1 or 2 ambulances, that would kill me

I am new on the ambulance side of the game I have plenty of fire stations in my game but now I am adding ambulances. I noticed that a new ambulance station costs 100,000 credits whereas an ambulance extension to a small fire stations costs the price to upgrade to a large station ( at least 50,000) plus 100,000 credits for the extension, the cost of adding a new bay (expand) 10,000 credits for the ambulance and the cost of an ambulance 5,000 credits. ambulance station stand alone 100,000 vs 165,000 for the extension.
I can put these stand alone ambulance station next to the fire stations for stations with ambulances. What are the advantages and disadvantages to have separate ambulance stations vs extensions to fire stations?
Thanks,
Realism and expense that's it.

I can't seem to train the EMS Chief located in my small ambulance station. It only allows me to train people in the fire stations.
There are two types of EMS Mobile Command, one is "Fire Station - EMS Mobile Command" and the other is "Rescue Station - EMS Mobile Command", you need the rescue one.
Can I train the Fire Command unit with EMS command training? Will this work?
No.

I don't see any real tip from you. All you did was pointed out your dread about my FD and PD. :))
The tip is the main post.
Can a moderator just delete all posts below the main? Buggs

I dont see where is that issue. To fulfill 40 stations with at least 2 personnel each without spending coins is not 1 or even 2 weeks time. It will take me 4 weeks and that seems reasonable with 7 days training time.
Before this update I didnt had EMS academy because it wasnt necessary. And now I have builded 1x personal academy and 1x with alliance funds. And it takes time to expand too.
I'm not telling you that you have to do it, I'm giving you a tip to how to do it if you wanted to.
-
And which stage would it that be?
40 ambulance stations.
-
yeah. But it will take lot of time or coins. I just builded EMS academy when update dropped and 7 days training is slow. Good that I have only 40 ambulance stations. Hoping they will not change anything again.
Courses for the majority of people aren't a problem. If you're having problems with courses at that stage I dread what it's like for you police & fire wise.

I actually haven't experienced this issue, bit I'll keep my eye out for it.

Just a big tip for everyone with the new update for the EMS Chief.
If you train 2 members in EMS Mobile Command and assign them both to the EMS Chief (this works for both fire stations AND rescue stations), the EMS Chief will auto-transport (via editing the EMS Chief vehicle) and it will count towards the EMS Mobile Command requirement on missions. Apparently not alot of people knew this, so incase you didn't, you do now :).
-
cant you have 3?
Last time I checked you couldn't.
-
Anything?

there was a post of FB that said EMS Command are no longer required, only the education. So you can just train the staff in your ems chief unit and it will fulfill the requirement for ems command.
Yeah I literally just thought about this, I'll test this now and see if it works.
The main reason I like the EMS Command is the auto-transport though.EDIT: Nevermind, EMS Chief can also auto-transport!
