My understanding from the forums (which may be out of date but I don't see any sort of documentation where I could find a concrete answer to this) is that an HEMS should be selected when an ambulance is part of a response and the HEMS is the closest. This doesn't seem to be working for me.

I have an "alarm" response with a single Ambulance, and I would like the HEMS to be selected when it is the closest ambulance and available.

Yeah I meant the cancel Button.
Then you have to take the challenge not to alarm this vehicle. I think that makes the game a bit more difficult and this is good as its not just simple alarming but also having a look on wether the vehicle is really avaiable.

By that same logic we should remove status 6 (OOS) completely from the game. I disagree.

Those answers assume you have either the max number of units available such that you can fill up regular vehicles with non-educateds, or that you buy the specialty vehicle prior to education ending. Given the 7 day training cycle, I want to stay ahead of the game with education so I send more out than I need, and when I hit a point where I need a new vehicle, I already have the trained staff to use it.

RTB would be a button you press, similar to how you take a vehicle out of service, however it would only be available if the vehicle is on a mission or otherwise out of the building. The vehicle would cancel its current assignment (if it has one), and not be available for calls (similar to out of service) until it gets back to the station, at which time it would go back in service automatically. This would allow us to assign personnel that are out of the building to a different vehicle, then RTB the vehicle they are in so they can swap.

When a vehicle leaves the station that does not require a specialization, the game should pick those who are uneducated over those who are educated so the educated ones can be assigned to their specialty vehicles. This is an issue right after personnel come back from training. By the time I purchase their vehicle, they are off on another vehicle and I have to recall that vehicle and make sure it doesn't go out on other assignments until it can get back and drop off the specialized personnel.

It's going to take time to assign them in any way

It isn't about the time to assign them, it is about the time it takes every day to answer the questions "Do I have any educated personnel that aren't currently assigned to their specialty vehicle?" or "Can I reallocate some Personnel to another vehicle?". With a bunch of training going on, it isn't easy to keep track of what courses have ended since the last time I checked, and cycling through *every* department *every* day to figure that out gets tedious.

Unless there is a course up with the training I am looking for, it is very tedious and annoying to try and track down where my personnel are for a given education type across all my buildings. I would like a screen similar to the "select participants for course" screen where I can see the education and assigned vehicles for all my personnel (the reason for wanting to see assigned is so I can find unassigned personnel and assign them). Bonus if there is a filter for education type so I can see just those with a given education.

So I guess I am confused about the income you receive for ambulance work:

Here are the amounts I see in my credit history, their label, and what I think they are for
250 - Patient Treatment - On scene only when no transport?
    400 - Patient Transport - ?? Is this for a transfer?
518 - Hospital (Alliance) - 575 - 10% tax. Is 575 for a specialization or just regular, how much do you get for the other one?
575 - Patient Treatment and Transport - My own hospital, but is that specialization or not?

Or am I getting this wrong and 400 is transport to a non-specialized hospital?

Trying to figure out if it is best to send my patients to an alliance hospital (10% tax, so 518 base income) with the required specialty or my own without. Do I get the extra income for the right specialty even if it is an alliance's hospital?

    related:
Is there a list of the different income amounts and types tied to ambulances? e.g. treatment on scene, transport to hospital, bonus for specialty, etc...

It would be nice to have a page that lists the poi's that I don't yet have that would unlock missions that are available to me based on the "number of buildings" criteria.

As it stands right now to do this I would have to manually go through the list of every possible mission and find ones that I have the buildings for but not the poi's.

This could potentially be implemented as simply asterisks on the "poi type" drop-down on the "add poi" page. Two asterisks for the ones I don't have that would unlock more missions, and one asterisk for those I already have but are tied to missions I can get.

This would improve gameplay experience as it would allow players to experience more of the game that they are currently missing.
