So what are the best options to use then for the money spent?

basically this - type 3 can function as both a regular engine and wildland engine - type 4 has the larger water capacity for missions that require a specific amount of water, the rest are more or less for realism - so my advice is get a mixture of t-3 and t-4

You may have your aircraft wrong- the C-17 can carry 1 M1 (you were right there), and the C-5 can carry 2. The C-130 cannot carry an M1 as it is smaller than the C-17 and its cargo hold cannot accommodate an M1. The hold of a C-130 is about 40 feet long, 10 feet wide, and 9 feet high. A quick look at the internet says that the average fire engine is about 35 feet long, 9 feet wide, and 9 feet high. It would be a tight fit- and platform trucks wouldn’t fit, as they’re taller and often longer. Now, let’s look at the C-17. At 88x18x12.5, we could fit 2 type 1 fire engines or a single aerial aboard. That’s still not much on a fire where airlifting apparatus is necessary, impressive as it is. So now we turn to the C-5- at 121x13.5x19, it’ll be possible to fit 3 type 1 engines or 2 smaller aerials. Obviously very few departments have access to aircraft capable of lifting a single fire engine, and there are VERY few situations where airlifting apparatus makes sense. I’d would be fun to have, but I don’t think it makes sense for us to add.

Cargo can be accessed at both ends of the aircraft. It has a maximum payload capacity of 130 t. It can carry two M1A2 Abrams main battle tanks, or 7-10 8×8 armored vehicles (Stryker or LAV-25), or 16 HMMWVs.Mar 8, 2021 .... from a google search

If you add the fire investigator expansion to a station, and have 1-2 members trained as arson investigators, and have the fire investigator unit- you have your "pd car"

I'm still trying to push for Paramedic staffed Engines. Trucks and Quints

technically if you put an ambo extension on a station, all staff become paramedics, its more having the extra equipment on the rigs, but i do see the point, i just dont think the devs will implement it, with flycar/ ems rescue/ and mc trailers able to bump bls ambos to als(if i missed a unit that can bump , sorry)

For Fire Investigators (although not ideal) - you can set them up as their own custom AAR category and disable the built-in ones to stop them from dispatching under patrol cars (which is extremely annoying - they aren't police vehicles by any means).

but thats the point im trying to make- i dont want to have to do that- and really shouldnt

Or have them respond as both like the join response unit o mcuk

that might work for the ambos till they transport then i have to send another unit to finish, and as for the FI, it leaves them unavailable to respond as FI as i only have a few

i hope this is possible for the devs to fix - there are many in regards to AAR and what is sent.

HazMat ambuance - remove as responding as a Hazmat and add as an ambulance.

Tac ambulance - remove as responding as a patrol car - add as an ambulance

rescue ambulance - add as an ambulance

fire investigator - remove as responding as a patrol car - add as responding as fire investigator

there are probably more , theses are the ones i thought of

i play the US version, and if i understand correctly your MCU is similar to the US version, but you have calls actually requiring it, it might be easier to lower the %chance to having a call needing it than to lower the amount of stations to get one. As a side note the US version doesnt have calls requiring it, but has proved useful in large patient calls

I have a Fire Academy and it was on my map, it is now missing. It still shows under schools, just isn't on my map.

you might have unchecked it from showing on the map - there is a box in the upper right of the map- look there to see what is checked(shown) and unchecked (not shown)
