Excellent write up and thanks for taking the time to clear that up.

I had put in a post about Water Air Tanker / Hvy Air Tanker but advised by VICFire that those aren't used in the UK, but glad to see them anyway in-game, sure would beat the usual 30+ firetrucks swatting wild-land fires down the road from me ( As I live within a Forest / Huge Wild-land area )

ARFF / Heavy Machine and then Truck Drivers licence will be my next upgrades anyway ( thanks also for the Dozer Trailer UNLOCK mention from the Reg-Firestation ) I would of taken ages to have figured that out otherwise.

Interesting to see the T.D.Licence had stumped so many, from what I saw after watching an old James Bond movie earlier, the Quint used 2 people to drive, 1 at front and the other, in this case Bond, at the back.

The Crew Cab Semi even stumped our local Firestation Officer !!! ( all fire engines have crew cabs! But what is this semi part? ) and ALL firemen are encouraged to learn to drive the engines.

Thanks again for all the help WinWin

Thanks WinWin for the quick answer.

Apologies for the staff bit, YES I did have ALL 3 of my MCV Fire-crew assigned ONLY to the MCV unit. Thankfully I now understand this " Assigning Units " especially the TRAINED units being sent to the Mission 1st.

I tried this again with another mission, sending the Fire Engine from "SAME" Station my MCV unit is also based in BEFORE the MCV Unit and again got that "untrained" blip / bug. But by sending the MCV out to the mission 1st, then sending other units, it worked as expected. Odd that it should do that, but at least it's teaching me.

Please correct me if I got this wrong, but as a virgin UK MIssion-chief QUINT user too, does this UNIT need to have staff trained with the Truck Drivers License? Or another Fire Academy Lesson?

I only see 3 lessons at my Academy that I haven't, as yet anyway, trained up any staff for. ARFF-Training (3 days) / Heavy Machinery Operating (3 days) / and of course the Truck Driver's License (2 days) ARFF-Training I now know as Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting. I also believe now, that Heavy Machinery Operating (3 days) relates to FORESTRY Training? This just leaves        Truck Driver's License (2 days) and I haven't been asked to train it for my Mobile Command Vehicle OR Hazmat units.

Do ANY of those 3 lessons relate to QUINT trucks ? If not what vehicles do these relate to?

    Swift water rescue (4 days)

    Ocean Navigation (5 days)

    Airborne firefighting (5 days)

Obviously the 3 lessons above, wouldn't be useful in any way for the QUINT Truck. I certainly understand that it doubles as a Ladder / Pump / Firetruck unit AND that You need at least the grade: Captain.

Thanks in advance if someone can clear this up ;)

Do certain specialist vehicles require a certain staff limit in order to be used?

I am enquiring about the MCV Mobile Command Vehicle, this is what I already have. It says a MAX of 6 people, but no MINIMUM requirement. If there IS a minimum needed?

    1 * mission: Overturned Tanker.

    • 1 Battalion Chief Vehicle (100%)
    • 1 Mobile Command Vehicle (100%)
    • 1 Heavy Rescue (100%)
    • 1 HazMat (100%)
    • 2 Patrol Cars (100%)
    • 4 Fire Engines (100%)

1 * Fire Academy / MCV lesson has been finished

    1 * Fire Station ( Large ) with 3 * MCV trained units

    1 * Large Fire Station with 12 * Firemen/Women Capacity is atm 20 staff

Only 2 Units are currently using this station, 1 * Fire Engine with 3/6 units and the MCV also with 3/6 units ( until I dumped 3 more units into the vehicle ) this left me 6, then later 3 FREE staff.

Originally I placed ONLY the 3 trained units into the MCV, got the usual "Untrained" "not enough staff" pop-up display. A short time later, dumped the remaining 3 ( UNTRAINED:!:) units into the MCV, again got the "Untrained" "not enough staff" pop-up display. But about 15 minutes later and with ZERO additional staff added to Fire Station, the MCV started working :?:

Thanks in advance if anyone can clear this up, as I just found this an odd BLIP.:?::?:
