    Additionally, could you please ensure the other ongoing map-related issues are included as well? Specifically:

    • The map periodically freezes in place and cannot be moved. Happens similarly, when moving around the map it just freezes.
    • The map theme/color mode (Dark/Light) frequently loads incorrectly and only corrects itself after interacting with the map (moving it or clicking into a building).

    These issues have been occurring consistently for the past few months and significantly impact usability, especially when attempting to build or navigate efficiently.

    Here is a video that I captured. I am simply moving the map around and then all of a sudden it spasms out. Any time you move your mouse not even clicking on the map it freaks out even more once it has started. Only way to solve this is to refresh the page. Same thing happens, but instead of it spasms out, it freezes. Never know what one it will do, but it has been a constant issue for a lot of my members in my alliance, like I stated at first, I thought it was just me, but it is several of my members that have the same issue. Additionally, in the video you will be able to see when I click on the map and drag to move it, but once I let go one of the times is when it freaks out. You can also see that the map starts in dark mode, which is what I have it set to, and then it turns back to light mode once I refresh as well.

    For the past several months, both I and multiple members of my alliance have been experiencing ongoing map-related issues and bugs. Reflecting on the timeline, it appears these problems may have started around the time OpenStreetMap 2.0 [BETA] was introduced.

    On a daily basis, while actively playing MissionChief and navigating the map, one of two issues consistently occurs:

    1. The map begins to glitch or “spasm,” rapidly shifting and behaving erratically.
    2. The map freezes entirely and becomes unresponsive.

    When either issue occurs, the only resolution is to completely reload the page, which disrupts gameplay. This happens frequently throughout the day.

    We have attempted to switch between different map types to determine whether the issue is isolated to a specific map layer. However, the problem persists regardless of the selected map type. Although our alliance primarily uses MapKit, the issue occurs across all map options and display settings.

    Additionally, we have been experiencing a recurring theme display issue. When loading MissionChief, the map frequently does not reflect the correct color theme (for example, Dark Mode or Light Mode) as configured in user settings. After refreshing the page, the map often loads in Light Mode even though Dark Mode is selected. The theme only corrects itself after manually interacting with the map — such as moving the map around or clicking into a building.

    This theme inconsistency has been occurring for the same duration as the freezing and glitching issues. Even after refreshing, the problem persists until manual interaction forces the display to update.

    Initially, I believed these issues may have been isolated to my own device or connection. However, after discussing it with other alliance members, I’ve confirmed that it is affecting multiple users across the alliance. The frequency and consistency of these issues have made gameplay increasingly frustrating, particularly when attempting to build, plan coverage areas, or navigate efficiently.

    We would greatly appreciate any review or assistance in identifying and resolving these problems.

  • Realism & Gameplay Improvements: Coverage Areas, Dispatch Linking, Call Variety, EMS Transport, and Police Expansion

    I’ve been playing MissionChief for over five years, and there are two features I’ve consistently hoped would either return or be added—because they would greatly improve realism and gameplay flexibility, especially for players who build realistic county/agency systems.

    1) Bring back custom coverage areas per station

    MissionChief previously allowed players to set a custom coverage area for each station independently. This feature was removed, and since then, Rural/Urban Specialization was introduced—but it doesn’t fully solve the problem.

    • Rural/Urban is a specialization, and stations are already limited to one specialization.
    • The old station-specific coverage tool allowed players to create realistic service districts for individual stations within the same county or city.
    • While dispatch centers has allowed “create own coverage area,” it still doesn’t offer the same level of control that station-based coverage provided—especially when trying to keep call distribution realistic across multiple stations.

    Why this matters: It helps prevent stations in dense areas from generating calls that should realistically belong to neighboring stations, and it supports more accurate district-based layouts.

    2) Allow multiple dispatch centers to be linked together

    I’d also like to suggest a feature that allows multiple dispatch centers to be connected/linked within the same county or system.

    In real life, many counties have:

    • Multiple agencies with their own dispatch centers, all interconnected
    • One agency operating multiple dispatch centers covering different zones, but still working as a unified countywide network

    In MissionChief, even if stations are in the same county (and even part of the same agency), the calls they generate can vary significantly depending on which dispatch center they’re assigned to. This makes it harder to build realistic countywide operations.

    Why this matters:

    • Smaller areas could still generate major incidents that pull mutual aid from surrounding agencies—more like real-world operations.
    • Counties with shared or interconnected dispatch systems would feel far more accurate.
    • It would help unify call generation across a region while still allowing dispatch structure and segmentation.

    3) Expand call variety for existing extensions and building types

    MissionChief adds new calls occasionally (often 1–2 per week), but I think the game would benefit from a stronger focus on expanding the call pool—especially for existing extensions, trainings, and building types.

    • More frequent and broader call additions would greatly reduce repetition and keep gameplay fresh.
    • Some extensions/building types haven’t received meaningful new calls since they were added.
    • Many call categories feel overly narrow and don’t reflect how equipment and training are actually used.

    Example: Police Drone Operator / ATV requirement

    Right now, many drone-related calls seem locked into “forest” scenarios and ATV requirements. In larger cities, drones are used for far more:

    • SWAT support (overwatch, suspect tracking, negotiation situational awareness)
    • Scene documentation and crash reconstruction
    • Missing persons searches in urban environments
    • Perimeter security and rooftop/yard scans
    • Hazard assessment before officers enter a scene

    Additionally, many agencies now use robotic platforms (UGVs) alongside SWAT for recon and safety—this could be reflected through new SWAT call types and expanded requirements.

    Related suggestion: Add more variety of police extension calls and make police progression feel more rewarding earlier on. A wider variety of police incidents would help balance the experience across disciplines.

    4) Allow ALS to transport patients from clinics to hospitals (not only CCU)

    Right now, requiring Critical Care Units to transport certain patients can feel unrealistic. In many areas I operate in (and in real life), urgent cares/clinics frequently call 911 for transport to a hospital, and a standard ALS ambulance handles it.

    Suggestion: Allow ALS ambulances to transport patients from clinics to hospitals when appropriate, rather than restricting transport to CCU-only scenarios.

    Why this matters: It matches real-world EMS operations and reduces frustration from artificial transport restrictions.

    5) Expand and modernize Police content (units, task forces, vehicles, and call types)

    In my opinion, Police gameplay feels less developed compared to Fire. Fire has received a lot of depth over time—vehicle variety, specialized calls, and extensions—while Police could use more expansion to better reflect modern public safety operations.

    Here are some Police additions that would greatly improve realism and call variety:

    A) New unit types / departments / extensions

    • State Police / State Trooper Units (traffic enforcement, highway incidents, pursuits, interdiction)
    • Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) / DOT-style enforcement (truck inspections, hazmat cargo issues, weigh station activity)
    • Detectives / Investigations Bureau (follow-up investigations tied to serious incidents)
    • Violent Crimes Task Force
    • Narcotics Task Force
    • Community Policing Units (events, outreach, high-visibility patrol operations)
    • Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) / Evidence Response
    • Dive Team (vehicle in water, body recovery, evidence recovery)
    • Medical Examiner / Medical Examiner Investigator (death investigations, unattended deaths, suspicious deaths)

    B) Add a Police “Command Unit”

    A Police Command Unit would be extremely useful for larger incidents and could represent a Lieutenant, Captain, or higher acting as incident command on major scenes.

    Examples of where it would fit:

    • Officer-involved shootings / critical incidents
    • Major crime scenes and long-duration investigations
    • Large protests / civil disturbance / large public events
    • Multi-agency operations and task force deployments
    • Extended pursuits, perimeter operations, and barricaded subjects

    This would also create more structure for larger calls and make command staffing feel meaningful on Police scenes, similar to how Fire scales up.

    C) Expand Police calls to better match reality

    These units and extensions should come with expanded call types so Police operations feel diverse and engaging—especially early on—rather than repeating the same limited pool of calls.

I’m sharing them because MissionChief has a strong foundation, and changes like these would meaningfully improve realism, reduce repetitive gameplay, and better reflect how real-world agencies operate—especially for players building detailed county and multi-agency systems.     🔹 2025 Alliance Growth & Milestones

    Our operational expansion in 2025 was substantial across multiple systems:

    Healthcare System

    • We successfully doubled the size of our healthcare network, reaching 304 hospitals across all alliance regions.

    Education & Academy Network

    • Our education system expanded significantly, with more than double the number of academies and increased classroom capacity across facilities—ensuring strong training and support coverage across regions.

    Corrections Network

    • We strengthened our corrections system to 44 operational prisons, many of which are already running at or near full capacity.

    Mutual Aid Coverage

    • Our administrative team expanded state and federal agency infrastructure and continued building mutual aid capacity across all regions. While our goal of ensuring mutual aid access within two hours for all members has not yet been fully achieved, we made substantial progress and will continue advancing this initiative in 2026.

    🔹 Notable Operational Enhancements

    In addition to expansion, we implemented several major organizational upgrades in 2025:

    • Launch of our official Alliance Instagram
    • Continued development of our new alliance website (active build-out)
    • Creation of a custom Discord bot to improve administrative efficiency and member support

    Our objective for 2026 is to bring both the website and Discord bot to full operational readiness early in the year.

    2024 Growth & Milestones:

    • Academy Network: We now operate 38 academies, including Fire, Police, EMS, and Coast Guard—a significant increase from just 10 at the start of 2024.
    • Healthcare System: Our healthcare operations now include 144 hospitals and 8 clinics, up from 35 hospitals and no clinics at the start of the year.
    • Prison System: We've expanded our prison system to 33 prisons, up from just 5. We continue to build strong state and federal agencies to support our operations.

    WHO WE ARE AS AN ALLIANCE?

    • Founded in January 2021 by J20202002 (previously Jdog20202002), we originally began in Michigan but quickly expanded nationwide to create the United States 9-1-1 Services alliance.
    • Our region administration team is dedicated to supporting all members and ensuring everyone has the help they need to succeed.
    • We are professionally structured and operate with realistic locations.
    • Whether you're a new player or a veteran, we support all members at every stage of their journey.

    📌 WHAT IS OUR AREA OF OPERATIONS AND HOW WE OPERATE?

    • We operate exclusively within the United States.
    • Our alliance is divided into five regions:
      • Northeast Region
      • Midwest Region
      • Southeast Region

    • County-Based Operations: Members are responsible for all emergency services at the county level. When you join, you’ll be assigned a county or counties to manage. Overlapping counties is not allowed, as we promote cooperation and mutual aid.
    • We operate realistic station placements but are flexible with vehicle placements, keeping standards for a semi-realistic environment.

I know there hasn't been an update since May as we have been quite busy as an alliance, but that doesn't mean we haven't grown significantly and expanded our operations.     Our continued growth as an alliance has been amazing. Each month we continue to hit new benchmarks set by region administration allowing us to expand more and more each and every day.     - We were founded by J20202002 (previous username: Jdog20202002) in January of 2021. We originally started out the alliance in the state of Michigan, but quickly identified the need to expand out Michigan, and with that came United States 9-1-1 Services.

    - Our region administration team is a dedicated team who support all members within their regions and will happily assist them with whatever it maybe.

    - We are professionally structured and operate with realistic locations.

    - We support all members whether you are in the beginning stages of building your first station or are a long-time player.

    📌WHAT IS OUR AREA OF OPERATIONS AND HOW WE OPERATE?


    - We only operate with in the United States.

    - Our alliance is broken up into five (5) regions. To see a list of what states we currently operate within, please look back to our monthly update!

    Northeast Region

    Midwest Region

    Southeast Region

    Southwest Region

    West Region

    - We operate on a county basis. Each member is responsible for all emergency services on a county level. When you join, you will be assigned the count(y/ies) that you currently occupy and from there will be responsible for all county emergency services. Do note that claiming a county that has not been assigned to you will result in moderation action and potential removal from the alliance. We do not allow our members to overlap counties as we strive to create an environment that allows for everyone to work together and have mutual aid.

    - In addition, all of our members are required to place stations / agencies realistically. Vehicles we are a little more laid back on as they can be semi-realistic, but still have standards in place for those.

    📌WHAT WE PROVIDE TO OUR MEMBERS?

    - We provide the following buildings to all of our members:

    - Hospitals

    - Academies (Includes all academies: Police, Fire, EMS, and Coastal Rescue)

    - State Police

    - Prison / Jail

    - Federal Agencies (FBI, DEA, ATF, Etc.)

    - State Agencies

    - Coast Guard

    - Since we provide these buildings to our members, our members do not need to build these and instead put those credits towards their area of operation(s) to grow!

    - Do note that even if you are a veteran player, you can still join our alliance as once you join our alliance all of your previous buildings are considered to be "Grandfathered" in, meaning you don't have to remove them. We work with anyone that is wanting to join our alliance to make sure that they fit right into our alliance!

    - A few things to note when applying:

    Our goal as an alliance it to help all members grow and expand. We do this by providing our members with hospitals, prisons, state and federal agency mutual aid.

    Our Administrators will assign you a specific county that you will be based in, and in charge of. From there you are mapped out for other surrounding counties, and once you complete that group of counties, you will be assigned either another group in the same state or in a different state, but in the same region.

    United States 9-1-1 Services requires members to place stations at their realistic location and named a specific way. Vehicles operating out of each station have no requirements as to how realistic. We just ask to keep the number of vehicles semi realistic.

    In addition, for veteran players when you join our alliance, we will work with you and grandfather your buildings into how our alliance operates. So don't worry we work with anyone who is wanting to join our alliance to determine a plan to meet the way that our alliance operates.

    United States 9-1-1 Services requires members to place stations at their realistic location and named a specific way. Vehicles operating out of each station have no requirements as to how realistic. We just ask to keep the number of vehicles semi realistic.
