Since the Mountain Rescue missions aren’t working in the US anyway, I’d like to offer a suggestion. Make some missions seasonal, if possible. For example, there won’t be ski accidents or avalanches in June. Also, maybe add in a fallen hiker that requires search and rescue and a HEMS or an ATV accident.

And for vehicles, instead of snow and ATV trailers, just have different size trailers (small and large) like there is for PD and FD. They both attach to the ATV anyway. And for the Mountain Height Rescue vehicle, rename it to Off Road Ambulance or 4WD Ambulance and make it like the Rescue Ambulances. For the Mountain Rescue Dog, rename it Search and Rescue Dog. These would make more sense in the US.

I’d also like to see mountain rescue as an extension to current FD and EMS stations. In the US, a lot of these agencies do this work anyway. We don’t have a lot of dedicated mountain rescue organizations.

I’m the only one in the alliance so not sure.

Does anyone else have the issue of airport missions spawning nowhere near an airport? This mission spawned today and the closet airport (and appropriate POI) is on the other side of the county on an entirely different dispatch center.

I had 2 mountain rescue missions and couldn’t finish either one because I could send an ambulance or transport the patient at all. I had to finish them with coins.

Finally got a mountain rescue mission and can’t send an ambulance to it and can’t transport to the station either.

I’m still waiting for my one station to spawn a mission. And it’s been set up since the first day it was launched. What a waste…

But what if I don’t have one? I just have to get one for the sake of the mission?

I’m set up in NJ so I put the Mountain Rescue Units at a couple ski resorts and where I know these types of units would be. But I haven’t gotten any missions yet.

I’d like these too.

I converted a EMS station that wasn’t getting a lot of calls anyway to put up the mountain rescue station. Luckily it was in a mountainous area so it’s still somewhat realistic.

Has anyone else tried the mountain rescue stations and missions? I have one station with one of everything (vehicles and equipment) and have the POIs setup but no missions are generating. Anyone actually had a mountain rescue mission yet?

I’ve had two missions not recognize that an ambulance is on scene even though I have a fly car and a BLS ambulance (or multiple of each as required). Those missions are:

Protestors Stuck on Monument

Also, when I have a mix of ALS and BLS patients, I’ll get 2 BLS ambulances going to an ALS patient while the fly car goes to the BLS patient. Is there a way to avoid this or fix this?

It’s corrected itself for me too.

When I dispatch units and hit the button to dispatch and move to the next mission, the units that were dispatched cover my mission tabs. This is only when I play on my phone and it just started today.

I know. I was just curious if anyone was running ALS ambulances along with fly cars and BLS ambulances. There are parts of the country that do it in real life. I wanted to see how they were making it work logistically.

Is anyone running areas with fly cars and ALS ambulances? Or different areas with one having fly cars and one having ALS ambulances? Do you have any issues with going between the two? Maybe some recommendations?

I’m thinking this would be more for people who run fire based EMS systems. I’m also thinking it could be an either/or situation. Like, you can run both a battalion and an EMS chief or you can go with a dual purpose battalion chief with some extra requirements.

Would it be possible to have battalion chiefs run as EMS chiefs too? Maybe require that the battalion chief carries medical equipment and either has EMS mobile command or EMS for fire apparatus to do so
