Yes, the pumper tanker does count as a firetruck and can replace firetrucks at missions. But it does not show up under the 'Firetruck' tab in the alarm window. I was suggesting that this be changed.

tbh imo it wouldn't make a huge amount of sense, I'd much rather there be an SRV-ACU combination at a high rank

My missions say "maximum 1+ prisoner" And 78% of the time have no prisoners

Almost all of my police missions seem to have at least one prisoner.

I think you can move it to that tab.. if you send it to a call because it is closer, the pumper tanker will replace an engine

Whenever I dispatch a call by one of my stations that has a pumper tanker it always dispatches it as a fire truck and shows up under my fire truck tab
