This is open to interpretation, particularly because the response can be fairly unique so it was a bit difficult to determine this. This could also be a timed mission as an alternative.

Just another variant mission type callout :) suggestion.
With my previous suggested missions, could also take into consideration on possible mission upgrades.

Heyo, as much as I'd like to agree with this idea. I can't. Thanks for the suggestion all the same!

Storms have many impacts when the occur, whether that be a regular storm, flash flooding or just severe weather.
I'd very much disagree with just simply removing "Tree on the road" as that would removing the very thing that is common during storms.
Trees fall, they love to just drop due to heat stress or when they are faced with extreme conditions such as heavy wind, rain etc. Trees fall on homes, vehicles, roads, footpaths, anywhere they grow.
So again, when storms occur, a common call will be TREE DOWN, whether that be on a road which hinders and puts traffic at risk of accidents, or trees that have fallen or threaten homes.

You're right, these storms could include/involve more missions. A start on some ideas would be helpful as we'd all like to know your input and ideas!
I can start with a few we commonly get on a night of a storm:
    - Flooding Salvage
    - Water Threatening Properties.
    - Structural Collapse
    - Partial Roof Collapse
    - Ceiling Collapse
    - Leaks / Water Coming Into Home
    - Severe Weather ... the possibilities are endless really. Even if most of them are simple jobs or mop ups.

Another thing I would suggest is removing the need for aerial platforms. It could be where I'm from, but if we can't use a ladder or roof saftey system, we might request a platform appliance saftey let us do the job. Otherwise general ladders do the trick. Such jobs I'm talking about is:
    - Unsafe Scaffolding
    - Unsafe Cladding
    - Damaged Roof

    Cheers,
    Pom :D

    Hello good sir,

You can very much in deed do this function. I suggest you set up a dispatch centre and place it in a place of your own liking. This will give you some options and a selection of settings which include "Maximum distance of alliance missions (in KM)"

From what I believe, yours is set to "no limit". Hence your concern. It's all preference really and this should help.

Hope this helped and I hope I understood correctly.

Enjoy the night, evening or morning,

    Pommy C:

    Heyo!
Been a while since I made my last suggestion, but I hope this isn't too drastic and is doable :))
Please excuse any errors or repeats in my writing. Been a while :D

I propose the newest and latest combination vehicle for MissionChief US, Hazmat / BA Support.

I'm aware that combination vehicles are not favoured to an extent, but this proposition I believe should not impact the game overall. Rather than just being seen as another vehicle in game, I believe this could help manage and keep vehicles organised for players. Not only would it be used as a useful resource for hazmat+air required missions or vice versa, but for real builds too. It's just an alternative for people if they so desire. I'm also aware that there's many combination vehicles that exist in the real world that would be great and we would all like to incorporate, but tI think this would be a golden appliance that could just make things a little more better.

Many appliances as far as I'm concerned carry Compressed Air Breathing Apparatus (CABA), or spare BA equipment on board to assist with large and long events. With no combination vehicles and for the bigger builds with all unlocked missions, the demand for mobile air units can be increased, especially for rural builds, more challenging. I believe this combination will make it easier for setups without drastically changing the game. This, for those who play more realistic builds can also benefit from this, I personally think (my bias). I'm aware that at least here in my city, hazmat vehicles also contain BA support equipment and essentially act as a mobile air appliance.

Would love to hear more thoughts on this and to hear even a US take on the idea. Curious to the matter if the US do the same. I believe they do but the discussions are welcome

Thank you for considering and listening to my proposition. Please consider it and enjoy the day c:

    Pommy

    Heyo!
This is purely subjective and I'm sure there are many people who think the same way. However, being spoon fed and being presented with credits to complete what you desire completely removes the challenge of the game. It also leaves no desire to seek towards a goal to expand and upgrade. Without that end goal, challenge or desire to keep grinding to finish something, destroys a need to play.

I guess this is from my personal view, but it is easier to get bored when you get things at the instant. Hence why I am still active these past few years. It may be quiet in your area, but that doesn't mean you are excluded from the game. Join an alliance, or head to the forums, even join a discord. This community has great potential, great players who are friendly enough to help people out, especially new players such as yourself.

I do to an extent get what you're saying, and is it a bad idea? No, not at all. All suggestions, ideas and questions are welcome. However, the whole playerbase may need to be considered.
Many new updates have come out that make it easier to play the game, especially for new players. I personally would take TACRFan's advice. It's a good one.

Hopefully that didn't sound harsh.. <3

    Cheers and thanks!
    Pommy :))

    Heyo TACR,
you make a fair and valid point. Thanks for the consideration and response.
I assume what you're saying is, even if we implement custom sounds at our own liking, even if whatever we add, we can only hear, and therefore is still a copyright issue? I would've thought it wouldn't be an issue, particularly if it was for personal use and it wasn't the game distributing the sounds? If that makes sense..

    Thanks,
    Pommy

Heyo, I support this 100% and have always thought about this when playing the game.

I quite like having some form of sound within this game, for notifications, calls, etc. It does add an interesting element to the game, however some audio choices have not been the best, such as the doorbell lol. I mean, each to their own, but this would allow people to customise their game to their specific liking without interfering with others or the game play and therefore I think this idea would fit well.

I think this could work well within a similar format as to the vehicle skin and mission skin pack system, however I do not feel a public system is necessary, and a personal audio editor option to change the sounds could work well all the same. I won't object to either option :3

I think within this option might allow the files we select and add to the game to be accustomed to our desired volume, as I have always found the sounds in this game way to allowed which sometimes bothers people nearby. It would be nice if there was a volume system in game, however to counter this, just editing the audio files volume and adding it in would be excellent as well.

    Pommy C:

Heyo! Thank you for taking your time and interest in "Australia's Emergency Service" Alliance.

A little about myself: I'm Pommy, an Australian and I have been playing this game for a couple years. I'm also the founder of such group and and hoping to find some new great people. I love a good chat and am willing to help out within the game.

Here, we are both semi-serious and at times, serious. We are a fun and welcoming community that accepts all within Australia. However, we do have some that expand from NZ. Currently, we have a great community with new and old members who love a good chat. We expand across ages and have active volunteers within our community to enhance the experience!

If you want to get involved in events, every now and then we set up one with a couple days notice that cycles around Australia, seeking new positions that can involve as many members as possible.

We have little rules and only have few expectations that may be good behaviour, manners, respect and courtesy shown which has also made our community what were are. We are a good friendly bunch who loves a good chat and some banter. We also love helping out new players and I have been doing so for some time now.

For a good year or 2 this group has been up, we have quietly grown with those interested in joining by seeking us out. We've had few pass and go, we've had many come and stay, however sadly some have been removed due to inactivity D: With this, we're seeking and hoping to get a bit more active, as I personally find it the players make me stay in this game, and is what makes it great, so we would love some new active members to join us!

We do not wish to become the largest group, but if you're dedicated, friendly and love to spend a bit of time on Missionchief, have a chat, feel free to join us! We'd love those keen.

We don't just speak on Missionchief, we also have a discord where we communicate about Missionchief or active events and help new players get into the game. If you are interested in talking to us, have questions and concerns, you may message me on the forums, Missionchief or discord.

Cheers and have a good one C:

Cheers mate and I'd agree with you on both statements. I too, more so for my fire appliances individually assign a skin to each vehicle which is nifty, however was time consuming doing it all at once with 100+ units I believe. However, it's not so bad to do as you expand. As you said, it can be tedious..

    Thanks for the support. C:

Heyo, I'm Pommy Granate and I have a new proposition to make.
I believe it would be a nice feature, for organisation and spam prevention (if you could call it that) to allow a skin pack to either be manually made via game users, or the developer creates an extra 8-16 perhaps new slots.

Within these slots, you can put a vehicle skin in as normal, such as the PNG, APNG options, etc. However, an additional option would be to name the skin to an appropriate vehicle name for what the chosen added skin is intended for.

If given the opportunity to manually add as many, or a limit to how many extra vehicle skins we want, I guess this would just use the green button system to add a new skin, then like the other skins you would click on it to get into the options.

This system could also possibly match the skin name to the "own vehicle category" option or become similar to that, in which it would allow manual skinning across the assigned named vehicles, or automatic with this feature.

I thought this might be a nifty idea, as many, including myself am making 3 skin packs, considering the other 2 "extras". This is just to fit in some extra skins for certain vehicles. I think this would be able to condense the number of skin packs out there and possibly make it easier for organisation. Probably not a priority in terms of development though, which I understand.

    Thanks & good day. C:

Heyo, I'm Pommy and I purpose a few new vehicles, PODs and Hooklitfs.
Today, I built another country fire station, which contained a Hazmat POD in real life. As I play fairly realistically, I was not keen on using a hazmat vehicle to replace this, so therefore I just left it, despite how handy it could be. But it got me thinking, why don't we have Hooklifts or PODs yet within the game? As far as I'm concerned, many other countries have Hooklifts, particularly Europe. (Not to sure on this)

I guess as we do not have hazmat engines in the game, I think this could potentially works as such, supporting incidents with hazmat materials and for water pods, act as a tanker.

I think in terms of features, it would be 3 new vehicles: Bulk Water Carrier POD, Hazmat Support & Hooklift which would be used to transport these. I think this could function the same as a boat trailer, where they are automatically come along with the Heavy Rescue + Boat. As PODs are not driven, they can be accessed by on scene crews and the Hooklift drivers which can hold 2-5 people.

When no hazmat and or tankers vehicles are near or avaiable, I suggest these take priority in responding.

Thanks for your time and hearing my proposition,
    Kind regards.
    Pommy C:

Heyo, hope all is well! Appreciate and quite like the idea!

I have many Country Fire Stations spread north from my main city and playing a realistic set up, this should help those who struggle or are set back due to this fact. Although I don't believe this should affect everyone and, just because we want to play a certain way, as it varies in a number of ways throughout this community.

I believe this idea would be difficult to incorporate, nor a priority. However, the possibility and what you can do with this game/programming are almost endless. I think when it comes to planning and suggesting this idea, how, what and more reasoning/detail to what it does could be helpful to devs and other people reading this, to get a better idea.

I do believe some form of system, player made or via the games functions to disallow certain calls in many areas, so they don't spawn certain calls. I have many long stretches of road with either nothing/farmland, or just small houses and I get an industrial fire. Doesn't make the most sense. So I see how that could be something that could be worked on. However this game is just a game and obviously it's not as fun when you can't tackle a situation proved difficult. This game I feel has gotten a little easier over the past year or so.

The dispatch centre does have a function however, if you set certain buildings to do, with specific appliances, calls will only appear around the buildings assigned to the dispatch centre if it has the required level of appliances needed. That's as far as I am concerned and believe. I believe this is a good and working function in the game.

I do believe, if people are choosing to expand and play their game in the country side, with long stretches of road and are particularly playing realistically, haha... They should know they are getting themselves into a challenge personally. When I broke off from my city, I found it a bit hard for a whole, until expanding enough.

Anyways.. I do agree with you and think this is a potential idea! However believe it needs more discussions, ideas and to be expanded on. I'm not completely sold yet, particularly on making Industrial fires POI :/

Thanks, good luck & all the best :))

    Pommy

Hi, I'm Pomm Granate & I have been playing MC for a couple years now. I have played fairly actively over the years and have declined over the years, but I still love this game and am hoping to play and be active for the years to come, especially with my Alliance. I have seen many appear, good or bad, that is my opinion but whether I believe it's bad, I'm sure many think is good. I don't engage much within these discussions, but more so am a floater who just reads them out of interest. One reason being is, sometimes people can be toxic and it's not worth fighting.

I believe incorporating an agency, similar to the SES or Red Cross would be fantastic within MC, especially for the reasons listed above, kindly. I think not only it would add the the level of unique calls, allow another agency to focus on another area and even like real life, allow say volunteer FD's to focus on fire's and the countryside while the SES would perhaps be able to take some of that pressure in game.

I also believe this game could create a new interest and path within this game. Some people only focus on policing in game, many on firefighting and whatever their interest desires. I am very sure many would love to focus on a rescue operated and focused agency. This could target a new audience, increase player attention, add new challenges, calls and just be a new exciting feature which people can focus on for the time being.

I found it easy to incorporate our Country Fire Service into the game, by just renaming and adding pictures, but with something that is heavily rescue and support based, I believe that just renaming and modifying is not really worthwhile in my opinion, as in game, they will do jobs they wouldn't necessarily do, taking out the realism many desire in this game.

Thanks Jeb for creating this discussion, it's a good idea and thanks Generic Dispatch for engaging and giving some insight within the SES. Thanks for what you do also! Much respect.
I've seen both of you engage within the community and create/discuss valuable ideas and it's nice to hear.
Me18, thanks for engaging on the other hand, but as you discussed the Red Cross, I believe that would've been great to go into further detail and contribute to this discussion further, rather than trying to shut it down to those only seeking to give positive feedback and ideas to the game. No offence.

    Thanks,
    Pommy
