i support this. I don't like getting calls five minutes away from a station it self. If I wanted a mutual aid call I'd join an alliance or make my own.

Alot of people from US and UK, Any other Irish guys out there??
I'm Irish-American, my father is from Cork. But, I live in the United States, specifically in the Pennsylvania area. -
Generally it depends on the area. In the United States we have forestry Type 2's which are for small/large wildland operations where as on a city/town wide level we have small pickup trucks with a pump, handtools, flex packs, etcetra for day-to-day operations.

Brush Rig (random department in the United States) -> http://cfd-il.com/sites/default/files/brushtruck1.jpg
It also goes by the department, I know a department near me who use a retired Military transport truck as a Brush rig so they can climb mountains and easily go around the off road terrain (my state is known for the mountains and we're surrounded by wooden areas).

My general point of view would to make the "utility" have the ability to be a pump appliance as well, because realistically all the pick up truck pictures above is only a pick up truck with a pump manually added and tools tossed on.

Eh, I partially agree with this. However, in some major cities in Europe and the United States they have the separate vehicles for their high command staff and then they have a large vehicle for general command considered like a meeting point or command post.

Yeah, just noticed that last night right after I posted that.

I'm active in Northeastern Pennsylvania, near Wilkes-Barre.

Personally, I feel as if the medical services should be able to be integrated with the fire houses. I know a lot of countries (not only the United States) who practice the same thing as it saves space and money.
