In the UK, platforms are used for building fires etc, but for some reason it is required for the MVA rollover, could someone explain why and what purpose they serve over the pond?
I'm in the Uk as well and as a former specialist rescue officer I can't understand the need for a platform at a stuck climber incident. We used to just send two rope teams and possibly an ambulance and supervisor.
