not sure if this would work very well but here it is. as we have the times where a engine can operate would it be possible to do that for the crew also? example if you had a type 1 engine and it holds 6 people you could have the crew work certain hours say like a 8 hour shift or ten or 12 hours and you could hire more crew so that you have enough personnel to Mann the unit all the time.

Mind if I add to this???? And be able to assign crews to the units to rotate, like a real shift, would make our people last longer, but they don't actually quit do they?

If they do that you will need something what make the crew exhaust, so you will really need the rotate.
Otherwise i don't think the idea adding something to it.i like the idea but i think we need a reason for it to actually rotate the crew in group.

the current shift for most firefighters in the usa is 24 on 48 hours off so we would need to rotate crews for that reason volunteers of course respond when ever they can when the alarm bell rings

Yes i know, but i mean inside the game we need a reason like a HP bar of exhaustiveness or something like that, otherwise i don't think it will be a good add.
but who know's someone has a reason or something like that
