I'm not sure how long you've been away, but it sounds like for quite some time.
I believe there have been a lot of new packages brought out since then, off the top of my head:
- Fire Prevention (Details of which are available here:
https://xyrality.helpshift.com…-are-available-us-version
- EMS Content Pack (EMS Mobile Command, Mass Casualty, EMS Operations Support)
- Foam Content (Foam Extension, Foam Trailers and Foam Requirements)
- Bushfire/Forestry/Wildfire - Details of which are available here:
https://xyrality.helpshift.com…-are-available-us-version
- Federal Police
Here is a bit of a change log going back to June:

To answer your questions specifically:
After having had a bit of a break I’m back to playing and noticed a few changes. Can someone give me some advice on the three new fire units that have appeared, Pumper Tanker, Crew Carrier & Crew cab semi. What do they do and are they worth having?
The Pumper-Tanker was introduced as a combination unit, dual-purpose on calls as both a pumper (aka an Engine) and a Water Tanker.
With this update, you'll also notice some calls now have a water requirement (ie, the call requires X gal of water to be present). Water Tankers carry more than Pumper-Tankers.
Crew Carrier is a support vehicle, basically used to increase manpower on a call, to help speed up the call.
Crew Cab semi requires operators have a Commercial Drivers License, it allows you to pull heavy-duty trailers such as a Dozer trailer for bushfire.

Also what does all the new EMS stuff do? Do I need them or am I good with my ALS Ambulances & EMS Chiefs.
EMS Chiefs have been enhanced, they can now auto-release ALS Ambulances to a hospital, this must be set individually for each EMS Chief within the vehicle settings.
New vehicles include:
EMS Mobile Command: This vehicle is required on calls with 25 or more patients, shortly after release, a change occurred which will allow you to train personnel in EMS Mobile Command not be specifically staff the Command vehicle. (IE, an EMS Chief with EMS Mobile Command trained personnel can cover a requirement for a call with 25+ patients).
EMS Operations Support: This is operational support vehicle, it is increase in manpower, and like the crew carrier for Fire calls, it will help speed up patient treatment & release or transport.
Large Ambulance Stations now have an extension to Mass Casualty, which will allow mass casualty trailers to be pulled. These trailers can attend the scene of a large patient event and treat multiple patients and releasing those who can be released or handing off to an ambulance for transport.
Tactical Ambulance: Tactical Medics are ambulance that go into high-risk police tactical scenarios to treat, extract and transport patients. In MissionChief, these vehicles act as both the ALS Ambulance requirement and Patrol Car (non-transporting) requirement. Tactical Medic Training is required for this,
HAZMAT Ambulance: (aka CBRN Medics) are ambulances that go into chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) situations with specifically trained paramedics who can go into a hazardous material/CBRNE situation to treat, extract, decontaminate and transport patients. In MissionChief these vehicles act as both HAZMAT and ALS Ambulance requirements. HazMat training (through a Rescue Academy) is required.
ALS Rescue Ambulance acts as an HRV & ALS Ambulance on scene.
EMS Fire Engine/Ambulance acts as a Pumper and Ambulance on scene. This requires ALS Medical Training for Fire Apparatus from the Rescue Academy.
NEW BUILDING: Rescue Academy, which can now train EMS special training.
I’ve already discovered I need some Sheriffs and presumably there’s missions available if I build a federal station and get FBI?
Thanks in advance.
Sheriff's are required units, they are like Police Supervisory units and are required on numerous calls.
FBI/Federal Police is a new building that you can deploy for specialised Fedpol missions, the units available are:
- FBI Unit
- FBI Investigation Wagon
- FBI Mobile Command Centre (requires FBI Mobile Centre Commander training)
- FBI Bomb Technician Vehicle (requires FBI Bomb Technician training)
- FBI Surveillance Drone (requires FBI Drone Operator training).
FBI Surveillance Drone is not required on any call as of yet, however can be used in place of FBI Investigation Wagon on specific calls.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
