Rescue Ambulance Confused

Well i have a Rescue Ambulance but i am confused does it transport patients or just treat them if it does not transport them then do i really need one at all or are the completely useless

Rescue Ambulances are ALS vehicles that can treat but not transport patients. They also act as heavy rescue and can be bought at fire stations (w ambulance extension) and ambulance stations.

As the above said. They are a heavy rescue truck ran by EMS.
