Could someone explain what this does before I purchase these. I was about to replace my ARV’s with ArmedTrafficCars as they can do both functions as they do in real life. Is this correct? Any help is appreciated.
Armed Traffic Car ???

ARV's can also be used as IRVs for incidents. Armed Traffic Cars have 2 roles and can respond to armed police missions as well as traffic car needing missions but cannot be used as an IRV as well I believe.

Brilliant, thank you.

I'd think twice about replacing ARV with the Armed Traffic Car.
The ARV takes 4 trained staff the ATC takes 2. This will mean you need to send double the number of armed units to some jobs.
Its probably best adding the ATC as an additional unit.

Ohh okay, that’s interesting I’ll have to take that into consideration. That definitely shake things up.
-
I’d say keep ARVs and Armed Traffic. I have one of each at most stations. And the Armed traffic car can take more than 2. I have 4 trained on each vehicle.

From what is said in game and what I've see in my own set up you only can have 2 staff in any of the traffic units.
Yes you can assign more to them but they will only take 2 out of the assigned staff.

In fact bud your spot on. I didn’t even realise it was a max crew of 2. normal ARVs can have more.
-
I would still say keep 1 ARV and 1 ATC. Covers armed response staff as well as traffic then.
my usual setup for a station is
1x ARV
1x Traffic Car
1x ATC
2xDSU
And the Rest IRVs.I know that’s not completely realistic to real stations but covers all basis for my setup.

Police side is what I’m slowing focusing on. Still loads of upgrading across the board though.

Thanks for the input, however yes you guessed it I’m doing as realistic setups as possible. So with only 4 ARV’s operational on shift at a time I have to choose wisely in game and makes sense to stick with the games ARV’s rather then ATC.
