Quite a while ago, I posted an idea along the lines of "you can select an area for missions to spawn in" (I'll find it if needed) and people seemed to like it. Just my thoughts.

This has been discussed and is not possible with the mapping software.

Your idea is essentially the existing staging areas. In its essence it creates multiple Police or EMS stations without having to pay for them. The reason we only get one staging area per 24 hours is to prevent players from “camping out” in one area all the time and cherry-picking missions, and the points ability to spawn calls is concerning.

Because this system is designed to protect the integrity of the game there will not be changes made in this area. We apologize for any inconvenience and encourage you to add a Station in that area if you would like to receive calls, even if it’s not perfectly realistic. In the meantime we look forward to continuing to release EMS Updates!

But wouldn’t it be more practical for EMS students to go to a Fire Academy to learn water rescue? It’s all the same training, the people just work for an EMS agency instead of a fire department.

Would you like to see EMS Academies added to the game, or should medical training be completed in Fire Academies? (to reflect real-life)?

The system screens each user every few weeks to check for stations that are too close together. That's why you started receiving these missions suddenly without building additional stations.

It's hard to know which thread to reply to! Here is the explanation for the issue.

There is a system in the game that is designed to prevent cheating. Though we cannot disclose the details of this system (and were hesitant to mention that it even exists) we can assure you that it is in all three versions of the game, and is likely the cause of your concerns. We will ask the developer if any changes can be made, but we do not expect any because this system protects the financing of the game and is performing as it is designed to. To be fully honest, this issue is in the hands of the developer, and outside of the Moderation Team's control.

Our job as moderators is to moderate between the developer and the players. When this issue was raised we contacted the developer who told us that they spawn calls up to 6 miles away. In one of the many threads you bumped you can see an example of a call more than 2 miles away, and in some of the thread that you chose not to bump you see people talking and sometimes complaining about police calls that have spawned several miles away from their police station.

Hello everyone! So the Moderation Team has gotten into a strange little discussion! We are wondering whether your departments call specialized rescue units "Technical Rescue" units, or "USAR" units. I know that most departments in the US say Technical Rescue until you hit major cities where many use the USAR term. Let us know your thoughts!

Also, if such a unit were to be implemented into the game awhile down the road, what would you like to see it called? Please vote once for your department, and once for what you'd like to see!

This is a topic that has been brought up before, and while it is an interesting idea is not likely to be implemented. This game serves as a “simulator” (kind of) for dispatching 911 services like fire, police, and EMS. While highway departments (DOT as we call them here in the US) serve a very important function, they don’t have much place in our game.
