For Scotland I recommend https://www.scottishmountainrescue.org/teams/
Lovely, easy to use map with all the teams including flood rescue, lowland rescue, cave rescue and RAF/Police teams
Just a shame most are mountain rescue lol

SAR Pt.2 has launched with the following vehicles:
- Control Van
- Operational Support Van
- Boat Trailer
- Drone Vehicle
- Drone Unit (Police & Fire)
- Personal Search and Rescue Vehicle
- Search and Rescue 4x4
- Fly Car
I'll be honest no clue what any of this means apart from the drone units
Sounds like a cool idea, will be cool to try it out !
thanks SFRS budget cuts

The new Pump Trailer can be towed by a Water Ladder, Light 4x4 Pump and Rescue SUpport Unit. - The Rescue Pump cant be which is dumg.
The pumping capacity is missing form the Rescue Pump and CARP
I'm confused too as surely a pump wouldn't be towing the trailer it would make more sense for L4P and the 4x4
I have no clue what the deal is with this update, we've had absolutely zero communication from staff for almost two months and out of nowhere we've gotten a broken weird update nobody asked for that seems to have had no guidance from the UK team whatsoever.
First of all, why an HVP trailer? the only pump trailer for flood response across the entire UK I've been able to find is a couple in Lincolnshire, so a bonus for some minority that plays there I guess. I have no clue if this is actually giving the HVP module a use well over a year since it's inception as I, and I'm sure most players aren't all too interested in getting some 'water damage pump' extension purely for 6 missions that do not even work (that is unless you want to send 6 command units to a mission?).
Fair enough if there is an extension for say this weird HVP trailer and it's module counterpart that generates severe flooding missions on top of standard flooding missions generated anyways but this extension not only gives you spaces for a vehicle that has basically no use to the majority of players it just generates missions that should be able to be dealt with without the extension. To me looking at how the missions are worded, how command units have been somehow confused with fire officers and how not a single mission makes use of the somewhat newly added and fairly unused inland rescue boats (funnily enough these are generally considered essential in flooding scenarios?) and how not a single staff member has said anything about this (or not anything at all (for a WHILE)) makes me think this was an update quickly shovelled out by the devs which had practically no thought or assistance from the advisory team put into it.
thx. normal crv i suppose?
i’m not 100% sure what they do but if they specialise in rope rescue go for that
most staff will be on holiday as we haven't had any communication over anything in over a month
Finally decided to do some SAR stations in my setup...
Which type of building should be for TVLB?
Coast guard or lifeboat?
definitely should be coastguard by the looks of it
I think you're all right lol, I hadn't considered that somehow
It’s true for England and wales that mountain / lowland / cave rescue are called out by police, but they are not a “police” extension as most have their own home buildings. Rarely if ever are they based at police premises. More commonly they are co-located with FRS
I've just realised that in actual fact it makes far more sense to be it's own building or at least an ambulance extension, but I would still like it to be available as a Police extension, or as you say Fire
if you're doing a setup that isn't based on real life/isn't up to date then fair enough for asking but if you are doing a completely modern up to date setup I can't name a single RN or RAF base that isn't bearing the DFRS crest nowadays
Its not staffed by DFRS staff its exclusive to Royal Navy Fire Service. Royal Air Force Fire Rescue Service for air force bases. Defence fire rescue is mostly admin stations however some major bases like Brise Norton, Northolt and most army bases with air assest on site. should know what im talking about as im in the military.
RN, RAF and civil FFs can crew them but it's still very much DFRS
Actually, most are not police, most our separate from the police, I know a few in Scotland are police ran but most Mountain and Lowland rescue teams are a charity-run.
yes I’d say most aren’t, but when you call mountain rescue on 999 you call for police as legally speaking it’s in police domain iirc
I've noticed with a lot of stations you can't really have multiple extensions and I reckon you should be able to, some examples I've found are:
Police, you should be able to have airfield operations and airfield policing
Fire, you should be able to have airport fire and airfield operations
Fire, you should be able to have airport fire and technical rescue, many Scottish airport's have trailered rescue boats
not major but it would be handy
Display MoreI believe the Mountain and Lowland Rescue would be a nice touch to have on MCUK, it can save people using Coastguard stations for those types of Charities where half the stuff that is used is not there if people wanted to do them. Theirs a wide variety of calls you can have such as Hypothermia, Trapped Hiker, and calls that may require Mountain and Lowland Rescue.
Vehicles:
Rescue Vehicle
Rope Rescue Unit
Water Rescue Unit
Incident Control Unit
Personnel Carrier
Search and Rescue Dogs
Trailers:
Inland Lifeboat Trailer
Station:
Mountain Rescue Station
Lowland Rescue Station
Adding onto this Dog Units should be added for the Fire Service as lots of services have them but they are not an option in the game to have at a station.
My personal take on the update would be the following:-
I think SAR/Mountain rescue should be a Police extension as it is Police responsibility, similar to how Airfield ops is an extension however I could also see it being an ambulance extension.
Vehicle wise:
- Mountain Rescue Unit
- Police Mountain Rescue Unit (MRU + IRV)
- Incident Control Unit (not SAR specific just a police command unit that's a copy paste of the ICCU/ACU)
- SAR Dog Unit (should be available to fire)
- ATV trailer (could be available to fire? but I'd rather have a dedicated fire one that doubles as SAR, acts as ambulance ATV carrier (the trailer would be suitable as a HART unit too)
- Inland Rescue Boat trailer
- Rescue Support Vehicle (flood rescue trailer just a unit)
Additionally making Air Ambulances capable of transporting without an ambulance would be good. I'd also like to see Police Helicopters be able to replace CG Helicopters in certain missions, missions could have a factor such as "Police Helicopter can replace Coastguard Helicopter: Yes" for missions such as search for persons.
