Michelle68: chrishudson is having trouble with one of his battalion cheif units that does not want to work. He "hired" some people, and it still says no one is qualified for the vehicle or there's no one available to drive it. It has been like this for three days now. What does he need to do to get his BCs working again? 
Also other vehicles won't work either.

Wait for the battalion chief to be at the station and then hire the people, if you hire them as its on a call they won't actually be in the vehicle until it's back at the station.

Make sure there's enough people hired at the station for the number of available seats on the units. Screenshots would help out.

Get all the vehicles back to the station and reduce their crew down to the minimum. The total of all of these should fall within the number of crew at that station. If it exceeds then vehicles will go out until. If all are minimum try deploying them all to a job at the same time. If it works then it's a number of crew issue.
As the type 1 pumps are default 6 crew max. If there is two then that's 12 crew that will attempt to be deployed. By default there are only 10 crew at a station so one pump will carry 6, the other 4 (it only needs to have 1 for it to be able to run). As a result of your two type 1 vehicles being filled, your BC will have no one free. Hopefully that makes sense?
