Reroute vehicles while in the middle of a station transfer

Say if you are sending Engine 1 from Station 1 to Station 2 but while enroute you decide you want it to go to Station 3 then you can choose to do so.

Same goes for Police and EMS as well

What was the response on the topic? If there was one, I'd have suspected in to be not implementable, that's only an educated guess there though...
Although I totally support the idea.
