I'm not sure it is a bug as such.
I mean, I love the helicopters infinite range. I never really use mine to go across the globe, but it’s re assuring for nationwide coverage. I think it’s fine.
In terms of it being a “bug” it’s just calculating the time it takes to get to that destination at a constant speed. 2 days makes sense in game. Def. not irl.
How, can you dispatch an unit on the other side of the globe if the range in the dispatch menu is 400 kms ?

Click on an alliance mission on the map and it will bring up the event window.
Only helos would be available to attend.
As you see below, I'm based in Canada but could send my HEMS to an Australia call.

I dont mind the helicopters having the infinite range, but I DO mind when I have a chopper assigned to a dispatch center in Oregon and get calls in New York that require them. I thought that if you assigned buildings to dispatch centers that it would only generate calls that would apply to those buildings. Am I wrong? My New York Dispatch center does not have an aviation center building attached to it, my Oregon one does. So I shouldn't be getting calls in NY that require a police helicopter, but I am somehow.

Make sure you have set your buildings to the right dispatch center. But even with that I have helicopters flying from NY to KA because I miss that they are 6 to 10 hours flying away.
Not just that. I don’t see that problem. I run into it when my dispatch center does not have the “Set Own Dispatch Range” which will mean, you can get calls for units you may not necessarily have all across that dispatch zone.

Its across all versions it seems. It should only work inside the settings you have. Whether its a bug or not.
