Yes it was announced in game and on facebook.

Here are a couple images I grabbed from the internet that show real life instances. I could not find a HazMat one but I am attaching a tactical ambulance and two Engine/Ambulance images.
Link to tactical ambulance picture and information. https://www.siddons-martin.com/news/tactical-ambulance/

I can confirm that the new Hazmat ambulances will still clear BLS and ALS calls as well as deal with the obvious hazmat calls.

Looking for an answer here: can you train tactical medics and put them onto a regular ALS ambulance, and still close the missions that require tactical medics?

what missions require tac medics? I have not seen them yet.

So far I can say that you can train staff on any vehicle for hazmat education and it will still work with the hazmat requirement on calls. As to the tactical ambulance and training I do not know however suspect that you may be able to train them and put them on an ALS etc. I do know from looking at the new missions that there is no requirement for the tactical ambulance at the current moment in time.

Here is an article about transport capable engines https://www.fireapparatusmagaz…-transport-vehicles/#gref
The Volusia County one seems more ambulance than engine.

I think VCFR have more like Pumper/ambulance. Just the basic for handling fires and the Med bay at the end.
Fire Engine Ambulance is also in the Volusia County Fire Rescue since a while .
I'm also very confused with the ALS training for FF's and I have the same question (if ALS trained FF car handle a medical call like a flycar if they are in a regular Truck (and whatever the truck used, from the Type1, Type3, Plateforme Truck, ect...)).
I already suggested to write a FAQ article with new vehicles specifications, differences with actual ALS/BLS Ambulances, and all relative question we can have like here. -

I had an Active Shooter mission on the very first day that required 4 Tactical Medics. I had to coin it to finish it.
